Re: Project: Mavro Gato (56K ... Get a cup of coffee)
So how does that affect your idle and driving with them pinned open all the time or does it? Do you recommend doing this with any turbo application? That would save having to worry about the imrc issue haha

Re: Project: Mavro Gato (56K ... Get a cup of coffee)
I removed the IMRC after having intermitent problems with the unit opening and closing irratically. The tune took care of that without a problem. As for removing the EGR, it really has no place on a high horsepower engine. As for driveability without it, like I said, the tune will take care of all that. I still am not done with my setup, but when I am, i will be able to comment further.

Re: Project: Mavro Gato (56K ... Get a cup of coffee)
I just picked up two oil catch cans and should have them by this weekend hopefully. I will be using one for the valve cover breathers and one for the PCV system. I have been researching oil catch cans for the past week and for the price, this is probably the best unit you can buy:

Those look hot! And big! Are you gonna get the C5 or C6? Are you keeping the stock, oil separator below the PCV?

I'm not sure why they spec them differently when ordering, I think the design is the same. I ordered the C6 version if that makes a difference.

Re: Project: Mavro Gato (56K ... Get a cup of coffee)
Well, I got under the car tonight when I got home and started to take some notes. I basically have 3 different ways of routing this intake system (I also have 3 different intercoolers as well). The final routing will be known when the last intercooler shows up early next week. In the meantime, I'm waiting on some supplies and plan on cleaning the garage up tomorrow night. Until then ...

Re: Project: Mavro Gato (56K ... Get a cup of coffee)
I post this question ... where do I place the down-pipe bellows in relation to the wastegate bellows? Have no idea what the hell I'm talking about ... here, I posed the same question over a Honda-Tech: Honda-Tech.com: Welding/Fabrication: Where to place wastegate "bellows" in relation to downpipe bellows?
Basically ... VS. ![]() So, please chime in with your thoughts. BTW, All my silicone couplers and the new air filter came in today. I have the cold side routing all worked out and planned for, I just need for my 3rd and final intercooler to arive. Oh yeah, and a compressor housing seal (I tore mine in half by accident reclocking the turbo housing for the 15th time). Once that all arives, I'm only a few days away from firing this puppy!

Re: Project: Mavro Gato (56K ... Get a cup of coffee)
Oddly enough, this car is a weird mix. Sport package with 4 wheel disc brakes, rear spoiler, but no rear wiper & no cruise control ... and now, no A/C
