You do know that they make inter coolers that have the inlet and outlet on the same side, don't you. It would really reduce all your piping. For the pressure drop you would lose in with an inter cooler like that you will gain right back in piping length alone.

Something like this

I was actually thinking about suggesting that to him the other day Jason, but the only problem I could think of would be the fact that that side of the bay already cramped, would there be room for another 2.5" pipe there?

Re: Project: Mavro Gato (56K ... Get a cup of coffee)

It may require the A/C dryer to be removed, or modifications to the A/C lines and how the dryer is mounted...

Also I don't think the pressure drop from that intercooler would be any different than a traditional intercooler.. however using less piping will certainly give you a gain in throttle response, and possibly another 0.25 psi.

The only downside is that it won't look as cool as the traditional intercooler with 1 pipe on either side running through the bumper... big f'in whoop...

Trevor, I'm curious as to where you are running the downpipe... is it in front or behind the trans? if in front, are you just running underneath from there back into the flex pipe / cat converter?

Yes, I have thought about the one side in/out intercoolers, but I have problem ... I don't have a front bumper, which I need in order to start fabrication plans ... I need to know the boundaries of the area I'm working with.

I woulddn't even call that a restraint Joe, there is actually quite a bit of room under there.

Yes, but room or no room, I don't know what I'm dealing with until I can get a front bumper on there
