Re: Interest in Supercharger setup

Hey, I just curious what people were thinking.

Here are the numbers:

Max Power: 325.45 hp
Max TQ: 277.71 tq

The MAF pegged 5V at 5700rpms so the computer tries to force the last known value but since more air is coming in it leans out slightly. With a larger MAF we should be able to squeeze a bit more out up top if we run it to redline. You can see we stopped short at 6500 because it was starting to lean out. I'm not sure what standard most people use but these are SAE numbers. The tuner said normally down south they use STD which bumps things up a bit more.

Here is the sheet:

Re: Interest in Supercharger setup

I would make the educated guess that 6-7 psi at the motor would be about Maxing out a stock MAF since Reebs is maxing his out at 7.25 stock spring turbo and he is somewhere in the ballpark of 300whp with 290wtq I would put you at 280-290whp with 7 psi manifold pressure with about 265wtq running it all the way to 7200rpms. And it also makes a difference if you are doing a blowthrough method on how much the MAF will do too but of course you would have to calibrate that and it should still flow the same once you recalibrated the MAF for making it own heat. Re: Interest in Supercharger setup

I'm not sure how others are managing the IMRC's but we had some issues with them. They seemed to flutter and the timing table was jumping all over the place. We ended up setting them open the entire time in the software so we could get a decent timing curve. I'm not sure how that would have changed things down low had they been working properly. I'm actually not even sure they weren't working properly. Maybe they do open and shut and then open again on a normal car.

Re: Interest in Supercharger setup

3L doesn't need the IMRC. I would remove them completely vs. pinning them open. Then change the pulley on the SC for a 10-12psi setting, run the 90mm MAF and tune it accordingly.

Well they are there but they might as well be removed. Since they were opening and closing and then opening again we set them to open at 1,000 rpms so it's like they aren't even there.

Yup, very happy. A little surprised even.
