That's what the forums are for. I've actually had a few people PM me about the turbo so it's gotten quite annoying. I'm not affiliated with them damnit... lol

Re: Interest in Supercharger setup

i got my a$$ handed to me by a boosted focus....so i definately want to hide one of these under the hood. How much power do you think you might be losing by running 11psi and getting 6 after the maxed out FMIC...and do you think a setup like that may risk the belt or bearings...G.

Jim, take a look at his engine mount and see if it shares any resemblance, specifically the placement of the four top posts/studs.

Re: Interest in Supercharger setup

The new Spec Stage 3+ clutch will be here Thursday and the larger intercooler I ordered should be here within a week. I'll tear into the car tonight so I can get it ready for the new clutch.

Re: Interest in Supercharger setup

So... what would the likely hood be in getting the vortec outlet to match the 3"s? to make it a continuous diameter piping?

Just a thought

Re: Interest in Supercharger setup

When you start getting too larger piping you'll start losing velocity, because you are adding a huge amount of volume to your intake system, which could hurt throttle response, as well as causing a larger pressure drop. From what I have seen online even 2.5" piping is more than enough for this setup. As far as I know this blower is not offered with a 3" outlet and that is probably dictated by the max CFM. This head unit has a 800CFM max air flow which is about 575hp. That should be more than enough to meet the needs of any Cougar. I'd suggest running 2.5" piping all the way up to the MAF.
