Re: Interest in Supercharger setup
As good a time as any to point out that there is also no way around spending a few hundred more dollars ($300-$600) to get it properly dyno tuned. This should be factored into any kit as any suppulied chips are only going to get you in a ballpark range and will not be optimal. Sorry, this is a fact of life with any FI mods on modern cars ... just get used to it.

Re: Interest in Supercharger setup
also vortech kit DID NOT come with an intercooler... this kit even if it used the same headunit, with an intercooler will make more power... and do so more safely too

Re: Interest in Supercharger setup
I see...this is true, I guess im still in my "import" mentality...b/c there are the companies out there that do dyno tuning ahead of time, i.e. when we put the complete GReddy turbo kit on a integra, it ran great instantly(as do most of their set-ups no matter where u are)...there's not a big need to hit the dyno again...its pretty much plug n play, and we did it again with a turbonetics kit on a sentra, so not all FI kits "require" additional tuning...of course it'd be smart to hit the dyno to try to squeeze more out of it. I dont really like the idea of chips too much anyway if at all, I like to be able to adjust when I want and I totally agree to get optimal performance you should have the car dyno tuned...Just seeing if it was coming w/anything to work with to see how much extra I would need to spend for a tuning device then go get dyno tuned...I think from the looks and sounds of everthing this kit is coming with, its well worth the 3K price range also...I can't wait to see the final outcome

Re: Interest in Supercharger setup
Don't get me wrong, that is just as easy, but it will still only be a ballpark tune. To extract FULL POTENTIAL, you NEED to dyno tune. There is no way for an off-the-shelf tune to anticipate slightly different exhaust and intake setups. It will run just fine and make good/great power with an off-the-shelf tune, but it won't be optimal.
