Re: Interest in Supercharger setup
Well I was able to get the bracket where I want it. The hood shuts but if I press on the hood it touches the supercharger. I'm going to check my stock hood and see if there is a difference between it and the predator hood. I also have some issues with the 01-02 timing covers because the tensioner is in the way of the belt routing. I may have to make a custom tensioner for the timing cover or have some secondary pulley holding the belt up slightly so it doesn't hit the tensioner on the timing cover.

Re: Interest in Supercharger setup
Going to a shop today to get the custom coolant tank design finished so I can have a small lot of them made for the first few kits. When I get a tank that will work I can work on the belt routing a bit more.

Re: Interest in Supercharger setup
Since I'm running of a seperate belt it will not matter if the AC is there or not.

Actually, it really doesn't need to be there... If you use a stock Cougar w/ AC belt instead of the Vortech supplied belt, remove the A/C compressor and the belt will fit VERY snug... Here is a pic of my assembly that I will be running this summer... Only thing is, you would need to leave out the supplied Idler Pulley and bracket... I bought the kit from another member, and they never had a problem with it @ 15k miles on it....

Re: Interest in Supercharger setup
Just to reiterate the kit in this thread runs off of a seperate belt so any AC changes will not affect this kit.
