Re: Caravan to 2008 CougarFest (Yeah, I plan WAY ahead!)

How would you even know? You've never been to CF, let alone driven there! Chances are I'll have summer classes then, and I won't be able to afford the extra time off from them that's needed to drive to Indy. I've done the trip once, but I prefer to fly, tis much easier, quicker, and cheaper that way!

I've driven to places other than CougarFest, and caravaning is always fun.

I agree, it is fun, but I've found I like flying to places much better. Plus, if anything happens to you on the road, you're screwed! I'd rather not put those miles on my baby anyway, she's about to turn 90k as it is.

Ok, thats more understandable.

I hate flying though. Airlines annoy me to no end.

AAA, GM Roadside, and 10,000 miles on the clock make a roadtrip a bit easier.

Gulfcat, I see you're planning on showing up in Indy on Wednesday the 9th.

Now that we have the dates down, is it time to start the serious caravan planning? I'll be booking my room after I get back to the US (10 days and a wake-up!) but arriving on wednesday sounds like a good deal.

Re: Caravan to 2008 CougarFest (Yeah, I plan WAY ahead!)

Well, I'm doing my own twisty version of the trip to Fest - going to get to Robbinsville, NC on Sunday, July 6, drive the Dragon Monday & Tuesday, and drive on to Indy on Wednesday, July 9. I really like having all day Thursday, watching everyone else roll in & getting the car clean before Fest really gets going.

I'd love it if others joined me at the Dragon, and I'm hoping to caravan from there, but I know I'm arriving early...

I think I'm coming straight from Indy to FL afterwards, and would be interested in caravaning then.

Hmm. Thats definitely too early for me to leave. I plan on getting to Indy on Wednesday, but I'll just be getting back from Mexico the week prior, so I'm going to spend a few days at home before going to Fest. Time to bust out the map.

Re: Caravan to 2008 CougarFest (Yeah, I plan WAY ahead!)

Well i found out the dates of my other vacations and i should be going
I go to Los Cabos on the 16, so i'll have 2 vacations back to back
just have to make sure i can bank some cash for the trip up there, which shouldn't be hard. Anyway, i will keep you guys posted if i do go, because a caravan would be very fun (and nice since i'll probably be driving up alone).

Re: Caravan to 2008 CougarFest (Yeah, I plan WAY ahead!)

Thought I'd stop in and see how the plans were going. I'm 95% sure I'm going as I have nothing holding me back (vacation time and cash are no problem) and I've never been. If anyone wants to head up getting some plans together that would be great. A few of us GA cars could meet up with you all at almost any point.
