My price quote for kit install, respray

Went to the shop today and for installing the body kit, re-painting the entire car, painting tail covers.. he said the highest price would be $2300.. he says if it takes less time he'll offer a refund/lower price.. if it takes more time, he won't charge any more on top of that...

This sound like a good price for the work to be done? What did everyone else pay for this?

BTW - This is for the shop to do ALL the body work. the only thing i did so far is install the fenders, but that wasnt very hard to begin with..

I agree with Lost Racer on this. For 2300 bucks you are getting the entire kit put on and repainting your entire car for that price. Go for it...

Great price....although I got my kit put on & painted, sideskirts trimmed & molded flush onto the car, emblems shaved, hood painted/installed, and car re-sprayed for $950 this is probably the ONLY case of the customer raping the body shop!

When they respray an entire car, do they sand it down and re primer it and such?

prob not if theres no dings they will prob just scuff it up real good or maybe wetsand it down and then spray a sealer then basecoat/clearcoat and if theres body work they will just fix those problem areas n featheredge it then prime just that area and wetsand that and then it would be the same process as i first stated -Justin-

that is a nice enough price... I have been quoted upwards of $3,000 just for respraying a car not including any kit painting installation or any body repair AT ALL that would all be above it this is just Basic Prep and spray..

That's damn good. Make sure they're doing it right and using decent paint though. None of that Maaco quality crap.
