Looks beautiful, definitely keep it.

Okay. Today I worked on it and decided to take a few more pictures. I mostly was shaping the back runners today but I did manage to sand the entire manifold down again and removed the last imperfections on the top. The sides are nearly finished which means I'll be able to move up to 220 grit here shortly. The next time I'll be shaping the runners a little more on the front and back, and sanding down the flat perches in the middle.
After I start with 220 grit it won't take that long, right? Goldie? Experienced people? I'm thinking that once I get to 220 grit it won't take that long after to move up and up, wetsand, and polish. I know it's a tad ways off but I'm getting anxious.

This is a awsome peice. Glad to see it almost done. I would defently get it honed and wont even consider selling after all the hours of work you got into it. But thats my opinion!
Been working on it some yesterday and decided to get a few pictures.
Here's a pic with the stock 54mm throttle body on and the passage. I cut down those EGR flow nubs completely. There's still a little peice of metal stick up. It's circled in yellow. I'm definately sending this to Extrude Hone. Not sure when but I swear on my life I will, lol..eventually. My original plan was to use this as a ''practice'' project so I could do my SVT manifold on my car - well, I'm not doing this again. When they put the putty process through this HOW does that widen the bore a little? And will I have to cut a 60MM opening for th SVT TB? The lower ports on the bottom where they meet the LIM will they widen that too? If you know PLEASE let me know.
Look at that middle runner. I've been working on it alone so the other's don't look nearly as good.
A black TB would look 10X better.
I remember way back saying that I was going to do the underside of the UIM...well, I'm not sure if I said anything but I'm not. TOOOOO time consuming to worry about the top, let alone the bottom of it. I'm sanding every visible part of the UIM though. I'm working on the backside of the back main chambers. The yellow circles show what I've got finished there - looking pretty good.

WOW. I'd say your crazy but it looks amazing! Want to do mine :P
Picture binge..AGAIN.
This sandpaper is the BEST sandpaper for handsanding. I've been through 2 or 3 different brands and this is the best. It doesn't fall apart in 2 seconds like other 100 grit papers that I've used. The paper is tougher and the sand/grit seems to be glued to it much better. If you want to sand a UIM (most of you probbaly don't) I recommend this brand!
This was in March when I decided it would be a cool idea to pimp out my stock manifold. See all those castings on the main bottom of the runners? Especially that one in the middle. It was a fatty. It's came a lonnggggg way since then, huh?
Well, I sanded his ass off today.I'm still cleaning up after this one as you can see. Removing that and getting it as flat as possbile and making it look good has been my hardest part of the project to date. I figure people only do this once a car lifetime so I might as well fix it to where I like it (perfection, lol)
The manifold has been completely sanded down with a 220 grit hard sponge thing - that's why it's kind of satiny and shiny. I'm still working on the main bottom of the runners, around the EGR and IACV passage and tube, and I'm going to fine tune where the nubs used to be just to make sure it's perfect before I polish.
