C0ugarFest 2009 - Canada!!!

So I'd like get an idea if holding CougarFest in Canada is in the realm of possibility. I don't want to do all the leg work if nobody would even consider going. The Canadians have been crossing the boarder for years with out any problems so i don't see any problems going the other way.

There are a lot of good reasons why to have it up here but here are just a few.

1. Drinking age is 19 (Notice I put that as the number 1 reason )
2. I know of at least 3 drag strips and 4 road tracks with in a couple hours of each other in Southern Ontario.
3. Lots of Small towns with cheap hotels that will be close to Tracks but not to far from major cities.
4. Lots to see and do with in driving distances
5. Duty Free
6. Close to U.S. borders
7. Major Airports are close by
8. The Beer Tastes way better up here
9. Something different to see
10. Canadians are just so nice

But will you Americans come???

To Cross the boarder in 2009 you will only need a driver license and birth certificate if you drive. If you fly you need a passport.

If you are under 18, you just need a letter with your parents consent to cross the border.

So Vote if you would come or not based on it being in Canada and post your reason. Basically if it was the very best proposal and no other options were available would you or would you not go based solely on the fact it's in Canada?

I don't know Mav. I'm going to try to go for hamilfest. But probably not for cougarfest. The gas is way more expensive there. Brett is apparently a terrorist and gets both of us searched. I can't say I've liked any food there except what was cooked by Ron, Jenny and Dan. But I <3 Canadians! Oh and my dollar isn't worth anything anymore

coming from florida to ohio it would only be a few more hours to get to canada. i'm f'd either way so why not.

I would consider it.....depends on how many long trips I have planned for next year and what my new job will allow. If I went at all, it would be on a plane, not driving.

There is certainly a big Cougar crowd in Canadia.

Yes there is, and even more that don't make the trip down to Cougarfest each year.

I think it would be something New, Something different, something exciting. I'm sure all my fellow Canadians would be more than happy to make sure it was a memorable event for everyone.

I'de only go if it was in Windsor. I hate dealing with the border. We would all be loosing money. Who knows what our dollar would be worth by next summer.
