Confused Removing fine scratches from Stainless HELP!!!

My roush tips have gotten some fine scratches in them from god knows what. You can really only see them in the sunshine..Any way to make them shine like chrome?

I tried brasso which is about the same as chrome polish with no luck. Interesting article, Guess I need to use the damn buffer

Re: Removing fine scratches from Stainless HELP!!!

You can use a metal polish -- just watch your pressure, use a microfiber cloth (not cotton terry -- it's too aggressive) or apply it by hand with a nitrile glove. Let the polish do the work or you'll just create more scratches.

You might try a PowerBall Mini if it's a tiring task and the scratches are severe.

And if it's a bright mirror finish, you can try Billet Polish by Mothers for a finishing touch.

It may take a little experimentation, but it can be done.

Chrome Polish is probably too mild for hard stainless.

if you read the article i linked to, any polish is too mild.
