So the cougar is most definitely down for the winter. Alot of work ahead [will detail later].

Currently the interior is completely stripped sans the dash. Last night I finally managed to get the carpeting pulled which was alot easier than I was expecting. Turns out I do have some standing water in the bottom of the car, most likely a result of my subframe connectors, it wasnt bad and there is absolutely no signs of rust so thats a positive.

Anyways, I finished pulling the sound deadening material from the rear seats [sucked]. I also completely got off the sound deadening material from the rear seat foot areas, which came off super easy.

I did save all the material and will be weighing to tomorrow.

One secret to removing the "tar based" sound deadening material from cars is to get dry ice chuncks and spread it all over the material. This will flash freeze the material to the point of being VERY brittle. Then just chizzle at it or hammer away and discard the chunks ... just be sure to wear very thick gloves
