Battery in the remotes

What battery does the thing take... and for htat matter ho do you properly open them?

you can take a small flat head screw driver and pop it open pretty easily at the seams. once ya do that, you'll know what battery it is . All I remember is it's 3V - and that's only because it doubles as an LED tester

thanks guys... my remots suck... they only work from about 2 parking spots away

lol, ya mines finally degraded to only working when standing next to the car

oh well it has been 7 years, maybe I can spot for a new battery now.

Doesn't say in the book.... I would think THAT far but if you notice a decrease in range is probably the battery.

mine have always - even when they and the car where brand new - only worked from within 20-30 feet at most.

well the batteries DEF helped... id say tho having lasted this long i got my monies worth to begin with

it is easiest to open then if you take it off the ring and then pry between the the two tabs sticking out on the end where the ring goes through..

mine used to work about 40 - 50 ft i would say max...LOL it used to also work from the 9th floor of my appartment building to though...

and yeah 2032
