will this head unit work in my cougar?

i have been looking for a in dash head unit please let me know if this will work or will i need to go bigger thanks.

You will need to go smaller unless you've swapped in a 01-02 interior, even then I think there's some modification needed to get a double din radio to mount properly.

A double-din fits with the 01/02 radio/hvac bezel, but some dremeling on the bezel is still required. I'm pretty sure some thread have been posted up detailing what needs to be done.

My head unit didn't fit even after being able to make it past my bezel due to a small "U" shaped guide bracket for the stock unit. I ended up dremmeling the two rivets holding it to the dash off and it fit perfectly. Read up before you act.
