Alternator Whine

Ok so i have crazy alternator whine...I mean when i turn on the am stations on my stock radio i can clearly hear the rpm's go up and down...not to mention i used to hear it through my radar detector befor its speaker blew. I do have the light dimming problem but i feel i can easily fix that...The only thing i can think of causing the crazy whine is my relocated battery...anyone else with a battery located in the trunk have Very loud alternator whine? If not do you mind posting pics of your setup so i can get an idea of where mine might be wrong? Also did you run a ground wire back to the front or just ground the battery in the trunk...Any help appreciated..Also i did do some searching and came up with basically nothing. If you can help please post a responce
Thanks
Jameson

Re: Alternator Whine

I seriously have the same issue...I am using good factory ground locations, i used a wire brush to clean the metal befor i bolted a nice connector to it...The only thing i can think of is that my power wire crosses and goes by a main vehicle harness....Its really driving me nuts though i mean its been doing it for 2 years and i shouldnt just complain now but it even does it with my stock radio...Ive tried alot...Im thinking its my battery relocation...Hmmm hopefully the ideas keep coming

Re: Alternator Whine

WAIT! HAve you had the whine for the last 2 years or did it just occur recently?

Unfortunately Pioneer decks are notorius for popping a micro fuse for the rca's which result in terrible noise.
