stock wire guide

anybody got a link or some info on what is what on the back of our factory HU preferably the left and right rear speaker cables (what colors) and the remote wire? oh yeah 2000 coug

This is the stock wiring;

orange W/ black stripe= Battery
yellow W/ green " = Acc.
black W/ green " = Ground
blue W/ black " = Illumination

White W/ black " = Left front pos.
Grey W/ black " = Left front neg.
Grey W/ white " = Left rear neg.
White W/ purple " = Left rear pos.

White W/ red " = Right front pos.
Grey W/ red " = Right front neg.
Solid Grey = Right rear neg.
Solid White = Right rear pos.

where is the illumination wire found?

i still have 2 white cabels with green stripes
and an extra small black cable with orange stripe.

illum wire should be with same wire run as your power wires behind radio.
white/green is speed signal (maybe)
black/orange is another ground wire
