sheet metal in the trunk on the side, there was already a hole, just srape/gride/sand off some paint around the hole and bolt down tight.

make sure its bolted down tight too. mine came loose and it was no fun.

I would not suggest grounding your amp with the tail lights...Bad things can happen like getting a popping noise every time you step on the brake...

Mine ground is somewhere near the back of the seat sorta under the seat or almost under it on the passenger side.
