usb iphone car power

hey guys i wanted to know which wire would i snip on my indash so i can tap into power so my iphone would charge ..yes i know u guys are probably saying just by a ciggerate lighter charger...but the reason for this is becuase i bought av pack and it came with a usb charger and i was thinking of runnning the av to the aux of my dash..

there are also alot of power port adaptors that give you an extra power port plus have USB (so go from the 1 port to 2 ports + usb).

I'm not entirely sure what you're looking for. If it's constant +12 volts, the cigarette lighter wire is convenient, or there's one in the radio harness.

so just taking an iphone usb cable.. slicing it and running it into 12v dc power will work??? or do i need something special?

I believe the voltage from a typical usb port is only 5v, so would think you would be frying your phone if you wire it directly to 12v power.
