Who has a double dinn in their cougar?
Basically, I need to know if I am getting wrong information.
the 2002 cougar has a double dinn slot, capable of fitting an aftermarket double dinn head unit without modificaiton? My buddy, and Circuit City say nay (but they could be wrong) I just want to know what people have done, I really want a double dinn HU just to have more of that factory look too it. Can it be done? and sorry if this already in someother thread I "searched" the words 'double' then 'dinn' also I want to verify, I have two credible sourses telling me two different things. |

Re: Who has a double dinn in their cougar?
So I don't have to buy your bezel I take it... I was just so damned confused.
I work at Circuit City as well btw, PFT none of that Road shop shanagins. I looked at Metra's site, and asked our installer... (I showed him the HU not the bezel) but if you say it can be cut to fit... I might do that.... well as long as the stereo I put in there stays in there.... Also... what do you guys think of this HU Newegg.com - BOSS AUDIO in-dash double-din dvd/mp3/cd am/fm receiver Model BV9055 I know almost nothing about Boss... and what are the odds of it playing WMA dvds? I am happy enough that it has a USB and a 3.5mm jack. any other suggestions preferbly below the $300 mark... $400 maybe if its uber awesome... I cannot have any motorized parts for fear that I may punch them whilst shifting... my knuckles come very close to hitting my current one. and I want to look pretty darn plan... no chrome. Just something that may look like I bought the car with it. edit: I found this as well, I can only say that its a little bit more than the Boss... Depends on the headunit, but I have DD, but some HU have really square corners of the face and won't fit without a little work, I have a kenwood DDX-7015(they've moved on from this number, but they still probably fit.)
