Re: Post your audio system!

a box that would fit the sub under the bar would look amazing, as is still looking good! I like kicker stuff, haven't yet owned any yet tho.

Re: Post your audio system!

Thanks. I've always liked Kicker and it sounds good. I'm not much into competition, so it's great for me. I tried raising the bar a bit, but after a mock up it was app. two inches too high.

Re: Post your audio system!

I certainly don't have the best system out there but I love mine for what it is. It's plenty enough power for me... It's certainly enough to feel the pressure change throughout the car so I like it. I swear by my H.U. though...it absolutely has the "wow" factor. Everyone seems to like it when they get in the car. I love how you can put your own pics on it.

Head Unit ----> Pioneer DEHP-7800MP
Subs ----> Two Sony XS-L124P5R (12", 1300W Max, 380W RMS)
Rear Panel ----> Pioneer TS-A6992R (6x9, 460W Max, 80W RMS)
Doors ----> Stock
Subs Amp ----> Phoenix Gold (500Wx2 @ 4 ohms) I think....
Mids Amp ----> Rockford Fosgate Punch P2502 (125W RMS x 2 @ 4 ohms)
Farad Cap ----> DB Link CP-500 (2.0 Farad, 2000W Max) Only for big amp.

THE HEAD UNIT....

THE SUBS

THE BIG AMP

THE LITTLE AMP

THE FARAD CAP (sorry about the bad pic, as soon as I get a better one I'll put it up)

Tell me what you guys think...

Re: Post your audio system!

Here's a box I made 6 years ago right after I got my cougar. It was my first attempt at fiberglass and went well. If you use a 3/4" MDF baffle board for the front and then mold into the side cavity with attached chicken wire, you can put a layer of glass over the wire and then remove the wire and finish from the inside for a custom fit. I did fluid measurement (filling the box with water after completion) and the total volume supplied by this side is just around 0.7 cu ft. Fill it with fiber fill and get a low vol sub and your good to go. My main issue was that I needed to be able to haul an 8x10 bass guitar cab in the trunk which barely fits with the seats down (goes all the way to the drivers seat) and couldn't sacrifice any usable space. And yes, thats a thundercats logo, not cougar but I liked it better.

That's awesome. I wish I had the talent to build a box like that.

yea man I totally love it, the only real drawback to it is the intensly complicated audio options... there are just too many adjustments that if your not in some competion senario you wont even notice a difference... Otherwise it has some pretty badass features.
