Anyone who doesn't post in here is not allowed to ask "When is the meet, where is the meet, etc." POST THAT YOU ARE INTERESTED.
Since the active members are on the Eastern side of the state, please answer the following questions (those things separated by the slashes are the choices):
1. I prefer a "weekday evening"/"weekend day"/"weekend evening". Be specific if you have specific preferences. If you aren't available on certain weekdays or specific dates, say so.
2. I prefer Albany/"Palisades area"/"Kingston area". I am not willing to drive to Albany/"Palisades area"/"Kingston area".
3. Dave and Busters at Palisades sounds good/bad.
4. Albany Pump Station sounds good/bad. Menu here. (http://www.evansale.com) Jillians is near by for fun afterwards, but personally, I think their food is a waste of money when Pump Station is that close.
5. I "am interested in"/"won't show up" for a social meet.
6. Good Guys East Coast Car Show (http://www.good-guys.com/events/event_detail.asp?eventID=RHINE06) does/"does not" interest me. It's a show for rods, customs, classics, and muscle cars built through 1972.

1. I prefer a weekday evening or weekend evening. Saturday DAYS are never good, though night is. My schedule changes too frequently to make definates unless it's worth making definate... and since Empire is normally cancelling plans, I prefer a weekday so as to not waste my weekend planning around something that doesn't end up happening.
2. I prefer Kingston area. I am willing to drive if it's worth it and definate, but same reasons as above.
3. Dave and Busters at Palisades sounds good.
4. Albany Pump Station sounds good, though again, not familiar with it. Jillians is unfamiliar to me.
5. I am interested in a social meet.
6. Good Guys East Coast Car Show does interest me as I usually go anyway every year and it's local to me. It's truly an amazing show if you like hot rods and customs. The car corale is a great area too to see some great deals on wheels if you are looking for a car that needs some TLC (tons of project cars that remain unfinished).
Side note... I really will show up to do whatever and whenever (so long as I'm available), but if we set something up, the BS needs to stop. Either you're showing up or you're not. Last minute excuses, which always happen, ruin the time for everyone else, make people not want to show up for the next one, and usually just make me angry. I don't want to drive 2 hours, one way, to discover 2 people showed up. No offense to those 2 people, but this day and age, I am usually sacrificing a good time somewhere else to wind up doing nothing. I am sure everyone else who shows up feels the same way. I think it's important too that if you are actually interested in meeting up that you consider having meets outside your own town. Lets face it, there's plenty of things to do in other areas and if people are willing to drive 2 hours to hang out your way, then you should be willing to do the same. It's not like it's every day... and it's not like 2 hours each way is a big deal. So, cut the BS and let's get a meet going. Christ, I don't even have a cougar anymore and I'm still willing to drive (just not out to Buffalo area... that's more than a day trip).

How is September 22nd or 23rd at D&B in the evening, like 6 or 7 pm? There were a couple people who said they prefer the daytime or a weekday night...

Seeing as how I manage a restaurant, and weekends are the busy times we really need to cement something as far as plans if I'm going to attempt to get the time off. I'm 100% in agreement w/Pat as far as not wanting to drive 2 hours just to find out 2 people came, that's happened once to many times! Are people even going to bring their cars? My problem is that if it's that late (meaning I"m driving back in the dark) I'm not bringing mine. Doesn't mean I won't go- just I"m not going to risk driving it back in the dark and possibly having something happen to it. ~Amanda

Well, I'll either have my car or I won't be there at all, since it's my only mode of transportation.
How does a Sunday afternoon work for everyone?

Palisades is here. (http://maps.google.com/?q=Palisades+Center+Dr,+West+Nyack,+NY+10994&ie=UTF8&om=1) Says 2.5 hours from Schenectady, but I have made it to Yonkers in less than 2 hours doing 70 most of the way.

Sunday the 24th works for me....
....and as far as the whole, "I'll bring my car if" and "I dont want to drive that far and not see anyone"....blah blah blah. I've done all of that several times all the way from down here and I keep showing up when I can. If you can make it, great. If not, then maybe the next time. Not every meet is gonna fit everyone's schedules. I think everyone tries to plan meets to fit everyone's schedule, and give enough notice for people to adjust their schedules accordingly. But no matter how hard people try, meet schedules cant possibly please everyone.
Oh and canaduh....
Just kidding Dan. I would make it but I'll be at a wedding, sorry bro.
