Well, my friend's and I are getting an appartment at school. We are all into cars, so we want to have a car theme going. I'm trying to use parts I have around right now for functoinal purposes around the house. Not just an exhaust hanging from the ceiling, but really functional things. So far I am using my sway bar for a towel rack, I made a tissue box holder out of license plates, coasters out of license plates, I have an AutoArt wall clock that looks like a rotor and caliper, and I was thinking of wraping my stock springs around the legs of our coffee table. I also have a stop sign that I bolted onto the top of an end table, and some other signs to use for decorations. Oh, and I'm using my stock shifter as a toilet paper holder. Anyone have an extra shift knob? I gave mine to Brett a while ago, which he ended up selling and making money off of....
Other parts I have to work with include a stock UIM, stock muffler and tip, stock reflectors, Cougar mud flaps, 2 tire irons, 2 hood pins, might be able to get a talon (2nd gen) front bumper, a set of Itchibahn (sp?) pedals, and I think thats it. Also, if anyone has any parts they would like to donte, I would be more than happy to accept :)

Dude, there is a catalog my wife and I get.....I can't find a copy right now, and I can't remember the name of it! It's called Hot Rod something, or something Hot Rod....I know, I'm not much help.
They have a ton of that stuff in there, you could probably get some really good ideas. I'll keep thinking and post it up if I think of it.
engine and a glass top... perfect coffee table.
any spare car seats mounted on a roller wheel base, good office chairs.
big V8 pistons, turn it upside down, holds pencils, pen, etc etc...

I'm buying light switches and stuff from there to finish my basement
they have lots of cool stuff. It's called Hot Rod Hardware, Inc.or go
to http://www.genuinehotrod.com
Aaron, here's a cool idea I found online that I'm going to be using for my basement table. Take 8 used pistons and rods have them cleaned. Put one rod facing down with the piston head towards the sky weld the wrist pin so it
no longer swivels then weld the piston head to another piston head with rod.
Repeat with entire set of 8. Then weld a nice tube from each 2 pistons and rods making a rectangle. Bow you have a frame for a glass piece that will sit on top of all of that. I'm also going to attempt to turn my ruined 17" rim
into a side table. I'm also trying to figure out how I could use the STB from
Brooke's old 98 eclipse and AEM intake in the basement. good luck dude
sounds like you have a good start so far.

I used to have my apartment full of car parts, but it wasn't for decorations.
If I every have big garage or get to finish a basement like Mike, a car theme would be sweet.
Aaron, I believe I have my stock shift knob. Also have some new suspension parts (so no greasy cleanup required), a set of stock spark plug wires, and a few other things. Gimme a buzz and Ill hook you up cheap.
confirmed: One shift knob, one control arm (new), one wheel bearing (new), 4 stock speakers, 3 white Kumho tires decals, and I think there is a tie rod end link (new/front) in the box too.

I have a used SVT TB Im selling that you could use as a ash tray or some other small cup/holder. Hell you could make a glass out of it with a welder.
