Uh huh anyone that can read can also read from a few posts up that he's waiting for Mark to pay him before he could give any refund. So basically, it's out of Mark's pocket and Mark's convenience.
I'm sorry but what would you do if you dealt with anyone else here that said this when you demanded a refund:

Even after he guaranteed that you will get the item or he'll pay you out of his own pocket. He said "when it's convenient for him" after he realized that he can't get the bodies and everyone demanded their money back. He also tells everyone to hold off on filing paypal disputes as he'll take care of it which led nowhere. If it was somebody else, I'm sure Transaction Feedback would have a thread that's pages long already from complaints.

I find it funny you all still bring up the fact that you didn't get to make paypal complaints like that would have done anything. Ask anyone else whos filed complaints against Mark, see how far that got them. (Hint, he has no money in his account and Paypal does nothing beyond that to refund you, therefore you would have been screwed with no way to get your money back.)

That's why I stepped up. Rodney, you are skipping over quite a bit here for people. The events went more like this. You asked for a refund, I said I'd do it when I had a chance. You then PM'd me again telling me to send your refund because it was all my fault, that's when I got pissed. I kept up on Mark and worked to get updates, but I'm a busy person and the holidays came upon us, so then you PM me that I need to pay you because even though I am buying presents for my children so is everyone else, and somehow I should pay $500+ out of my pocket before Christmas so everyone can have an extra $50 in their pockets, don't think so... So then when nothing happens to proceed to PM Trevor and whine like a little ***** (I know, I have a copy of the message) -- so Trevor refunded your money to you and will just take it off from the hosting fees for the website. End result, you got your precious $50....

Aha, demanded a refund are the key words here. I only got in on this to ensure people didn't get screwed, nowhere did I say I'd pay you instantly if you wanted a refund, I said I'd make sure everyone got their money back or the bodies... I didn't start this GB, and I am not OBGLIGATED to pay anyone, I'm doing this so my FRIENDS don't get screwed. (Notice the only person really *****ing here, because the rest of my friends know I will pay them...) And fyi, I don't have to wait for Mark to pay me, I have plenty of cash on hand -- but it makes it easier on me if I wait since I am dropping another $10k into the car right now, and since I'm in charge of this now, whatever is easier for me wins. Don't like it? You can always go after Mark youself for your refund. (laugh)

Fact remains that everyone who paid will get their money back. Will it be as fast as you want it? Probably not, but I tell ya what if MaverickFlyer or Hamill msg'd me and said they really, truely needed that $50, they'd have it the next day, because they are good friends, and they'd do the same for me -- but to demand money from me, someone who you have never met, someone who didn't start this groupbuy, someone who is just making sure no-one gets screwed, that's just stupid...

Thats a big misinterpretation of the facts. The messages he posted after his original and after I requested a refund nearly correlates to dates I pm'd him. A time span of weeks and months went buy. I recently threw away the messages he sent me back, but to say the least they weren't nice. People I know read them and thought the same.

That's all I'm saying. I have my cash back and I'm happy with it. I appreciate the fact that he is putting in the effort with this and too bad things didn't go the right way on this.

If they were returned to HPI the money was refunded to the buyer minus a "restocking" fee.

From what I can tell the bodies were ordered, shipped, and returned, like Scully said -- from there I am not sure. I assume HPI would have refunded the money to his card, but I really won't know anything until I can confront him with his parents in the room -- as that seems to be the only time he mans-up.

If you still want a cash refund, please hold on just a little bit longer -- hopefully U of M figures out what's going on with my mom tomorrow and I can have a whole lot of stress relieved, then I will be able to focus a lot more on getting this taken care of.

The first thing I would do is verify whether or not HPI gave Mark a refund of the money when they got sent back. If they gave him NO REFUND, then its HPI we need to be going after, more than it is Mark. Sure, Mark screwed around and didn't pick them up, and they got sent back because of it. But E1 said that Mark DID pay for the bodies, and that he DID order them! If HPI hasn't issued MARK a refund yet, then Mark doesn't have a single penny of your money (in terms of the HPI thing, NOT the computer thing).

Nope, things went way south with my mom over the past week, two surgeries and many many tests later and she's finally home as of 2 hours ago. (Been in the hospital this whole time.) Has anyone determined where exactly the bodies disappeared to? Did HPI ever refund Mark, since they took them back and won't give them to E1? What was their reasoning behind not giving them to E1, and basically telling all of us to screw off? Before we burn Mark at the stake, I think there's still some details up in the air here. We know now that Mark DID order the bodies and pay HPI for them, and that they DID get shipped out to him. We also know they DID get shipped BACK to HPI when he didn't pick them up. But did they give Mark the money back? Almost seems to me that HPI is turning their backs on us too, but I don't see anyone asking for their heads...

Oh before someone gets pissy, I'm posting because if there are bodies to be had, I still do want 2 if its possible.

I would be glad to as soon as we figure out if we can even get the damn things at all anymore. Seriously, HP has a stack of these things laying somewhere, and they were special ordered to be made. I would imagine they want to get rid of a "made to order" pile of bodies that were just laying around their warehouse. Sorry guys, things got really bad with my mother recently, so I've not even thought about this. However, Mark contacted me last night via IM, but I was gone. Today again and we spoke for a second and he sent me some info. A check arrived for a refund of the bodies to him on Friday from a company that issued to refund on behalf of HPI (most likely their merchant account holding company). The check was deposited and funds will be available this week, we will transfer the money into my account where I will purchase multiple money orders to send to everyone for guarenteed funds. (That way there is NO chance of a bounced check from me, lol.) I cannot guarentee I will be on top of the money orders because next week is a busy one for me with the hospital -- but I will do my best to get this out right away. (Perhaps I can talk my kids into doing the mailers for me.)

So, I will need everyone to PM me their address and # of bodies they paid for. Please send the address you want the money order delivered to, and I will make a sheet with the info to compare against the running list.

Also, Bobby, I will need proof that you paid as the PM track that I have shows that you never sent payment. If you did please show me proof of this and I will include you. (Just covering my ass, as I do not want to hand out "free money" -- nothing personal here man at all...)

Sorry, I should have explained that. I did not pay for any bodies, I was watching to see how this all sorted out, and if the bodies became available and someone decided they didn't want them anymore, I would step in and "take their place" in the GB and grab a couple bodies. No worries though, I'll hunt around at local hobby shops. ;)
