My friend gave me a used Ford Racing short shifter comes from his 00 Focus. Will it fit my 99 2.5 MTX cougar?

After a little research, I'd say it's THIS ONE. (http://www.buyfordracing.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=529) Looks perfectly compatible to me, but you never know till you get it in there...

The SVT Focus uses a different shifter than the regular Focus, so the one B3NN3TT posted won't work. But Ford Racing does make one for the regular focus, it looks exactly like every other short shifter for our cars.
