i still wonder that with all those bends, how much performance is actually gained/lost

well, i can honestly tell you i feel a difference, not a HUGE one, but my cougar definetely feels like it has a little bit more balls now. It truly feels like the power increase is over the entire powerband, i feel more power in the lower revs, and no longer need to downshift to get uphill faster.

most of that is probably just in your mind, seeing as how you probably only gain like, 3hp from the intake...

well, dude, look at my 0 - 60 vid in the video section, ok, what is a stock cougar? like 9.2 seconds or something? and i have it down to about 8.

lmfao. an intake will not take over a second off of your 0-60. and unless you timed it b4, you can't tell how much you gained. 3hp does not make that big of a difference. when you dyno your car you can jump up and down 5hp from each run. yeah, it sounds great, but in a 4cyl coug, it probably won't be enough to actually feel a difference. it's in your head. you want to feel a difference, so you do. plain and simple. it would be like running the 1/4 mile stock, then putting on an intake, and running it again, you won't be able to tell the difference in .1 seconds. hell, you can lose that much off the time if you just drive a little better. so just chill out, and realize now you just have a mod with a cool sound, and no heat soak:)

i timed it when i got the cougar, 9 seconds, and now its 8 seconds...i dont know how much clearer i can make that.

you said in the 0-60 thread that you rolling when you shot the video...that alone, regardless of your speed at roll would knock time off your 0-60...

i timed myself going down the highway tonight...from a stoplight to 60 mph and i could barely do it in 8 seconds...and i have a header, intake, Underdrive pully and a lead foot..

i am not knockin you or your car...and like i said in the other thread i cant wait to get a CAI extention, but one small mod like that to pretty much knock off 1 second is a little far fetched...

 thank you. sooner or later yofa, that I do know a few things about cars, and probably know a bit more than you. so 9 times out of ten, if I say something and you disagree, you should sit back, and ponder things a bit.

i said i MIGHT of been rolling maybe 1/2 a mile an hour after i took my foot off the brake and put it on the gas, which would be a total of maybe 1 second of time of my foot off the brake.

the intake piping of weapon r is the best....but i wouldnt suggest using the filter, not TOO good of quality.

never understood why people always seem to have something against weapon r.... one person has an issue with it and everybody hates it. I had one for well over 3 years and it worked great for me, never fell apart.

mine was fine all through out the time i had it, i only changed it when Kenny gave me a free red cone filter with the extension.
