Ok we have decided on the bank account. Now about the dues, from what I hear $5 a month was a good price. It would be $60 a year. Like we discussed before, you can still be part of Florida NECO with out paying the dues. You will be a Non-Active Member (NAM). But if you pay you will be an Active Member(AM). Im not sure what you will and wont get for being an AM or a NAM. Meephie, I think should be the one to thow these ideas around about what you should and shouldn't get. That can be another topic.

I think you can pay as much as you want at anytime. I will keep records of every cent I get from anyone. So if you want you can pay $100 and be done with dues for 1 year and 8 months. Or you can pay every month your $5.

Now when should we start collecting?? I think dues should be due by the end of each month. I know some people can't afford $5 each month, so what i think would be a good idea would be you can miss one month but it needs to be paid the next month. If you dont pay that next month you will be come a NAM and you wont be able to become a AM again for 6 months. Im kinda iffy in this area so let me know what you think?

Checks can be mail to me or cash can be given to me at meets. Sorry I cant take credit cards or debit cards. I will post my address or I can email you my address at a later time.

let me know what you think.

Well, if I see you at Gainsville, I'll just leave you some money as part of the first few months of my dues, if not enough for the first whole year.

From the email surveys I sent out, I recieved no objections to $5 monthly dues, so I say we go with that. Only 4 out of the 25 I sent have not replied, so the majority has spoken.
About the 6 month detention thing for people who miss more than one payment...that might be too harsh, how about if you miss two or more consecutive payments or owe more than $15 dollars back payment, you will be put on NAM status until you clear your debt and get caught up on payments.

The difference between AM and NAM status:
~ AM recieve whatever the dues are used towards, NAM do not.
~ Once we get city chapters set up, AM should "actively" participate in their local functions.
~ NAM will not have the opportunity to hold an elected position or run for a position. Obviously because we need committed people in these positions.
Basically, if you are only interested in participating online or at occasional meets then NAM status is what you want. If you want to be an active part of the car club experience and are willing to put forth a little effort by contributing, then become an AM.
As far as how we decide what to use the dues for, I feel it should be decided by a 100% vote, after all it is everyone's money and its not right to spend someone else's money on something they don't want. Dues will be used towards things like decals, tshirts, car shows, trips to Islands of Adventure, whatever everyone wants.
Any objections?
