So I've just had a great night... had about 2 beers in me from about an hour ago and had just dropped the old lady off at home and was on the way back to mine... i get to about 1/4 mile before i turn off the main road and basically get into my neighborhood, with one car ahead of me... out of NO WHERE this dude comes up strong behind me (im doing 45 in a 40 playing it safe caus of the beers and taking my time) and hes ON MY ASS... w/e i give him a chance to play it cool caus me and the other car had just come from a red light and were just getting a normal driving pace... but this dude WILL NOT LET UP... i tap the brakes to kill my cruise and bring it to 40 and put my right blinker on a lil sooner than usual.... i slow it down to where i should almost downshift to second but not quite there... and i know what hes gunna do next, hes gunna try to blow by me on a 2x solid... well f you dude... i bring my car tight to the yellow and he pussies out of the pass b/c who knows, maybe hes a pussy, and i drop it to a nice creep as i make my right hand turn (so obviously I've pissed this guy off)... he slams his brakes and follows me down the side road that leads to a few neighborhoods... rides my ass onto the next street and i bet he cant guess what im about todo (i go into my center console and get my gerber in case i need it), I throw my ebrake and fly out of the car looking all crazed (i love acting) dude throws his brakes on and just has that look in his eyes like "OH ****, what have i done"... i get up to his window which is now slowly making its way up and go "You wanna get up on my ass now ya little *****?", meanwhile the girl sitting next to him is just like "OMG back up, turn around, get outta here" all crazed (i get up close to his window and "pound" on it enough to just scare the **** out of him but not to where I could break the glass) and surely thats what he does, squeeks the tires a lil and rolls back to the stop sign, turns around and just books it... meanwhile im standing there just LAUGHING MY ASS OFF...

now granted "hey he could have had a gun" or "blah blah blah", but i know the punks that are around my town and they are just that, punk little b i t c h e s whose parents buy them a car and think that their car gives them the right to own the road... but they dont... so learn some ****ing respect or scruppie will jump out at you and make you soil yourself in front of your girlfriend

this by far is my favorite encounter Ive had with ANY driver thus far... I so hope i see this kid again on the road someday... oh that'll be a big smile on my face

im related to the cops in my town, so slight of a DWI or doing something REALLY BAD, I dont have much to worry about, but i dont use that as a reason to do stupid ****

Yea, I have my LED light bar in my car for firefighting related activities. I've never used it to scare anyone (other than my friends as i pull up to there houses a few times), but I have been tempted. It would suck to get busted using them illegaly though. As long as you don't get red lights in most states you can't get charged for impersonating an officer.

Put a pin in the washer hole, pull it up about 15 degrees, and voila.

You can now piss off tailgaters and wash their windsheild in one fell swoop.

There was one NECO member who had a flip-down license plate with 6 high powered halogens behind it that would and could easily blind somebody for a few seconds.

Sorry but I have a very big problem with people that drink and drive. Do you have and idea what your family would have to go through if you get killed because of your drinking and driving. Just imagine your mom's,dad's or other relative's feelings. Having some stranger come to your house and say a loved one was just killed because they were drinking will be something they will never forget. They will have nightmares about that night and what about when they have to call other family members and tell them that their son,husband,brother, ..... has just been killed. Don't be selfish and put your life on the line like that.

Have you ever lost someone to drunk driving? I didn't ****ing think so. I lost my dad when he was on his way home from the bar so I know first hand what drinking and driving can do to a family. I had just moved in with my dad about a year prior to this and was really starting to connect with him then I was sitting at home and one of his friends comes in covered in blood and basicly tells me that my dad is dead. Do you have any idea what that does to a 16 year old boy.

Maybe you don't give a **** about others but some of us have compassion and have beliefs that can not be held back or changed no matter what. Your life is not your own. Your life is connected to everyone you know and love. If you do something stupid and kill yourself their lives change too. So maybe you need to start thinking about those around you and about whats really important in life.

Edit: one more thing. The date my dad died was friday August 13th 1999. Isn't that a *****. 7 years and roughly 1.5 hours after my dad dies some jackass makes a road tales thread in which he is drinking and driving.

first and foremost to you i send my condolensces (sp?).... i lost my father to cancer back in 1996 so i know how it feels to lost your pappa dukes... it is a loss and feeling that never goes away so i def understand where you are coming from

i can understand where i was being misleading but i guess im used to the people I know knowing that i would never drive drunk or even buzzed and, like i said, with my fiance in my car... that is just irresponsible and stupid... nevermind what you are placing yourself in but, and as this thread suggests, mind the other people that you share the road with... like u said... what happens when you destroy another persons/families life b/c "you" decided to drive intoxicated... dont feel the need to apologize as i understand that seeing this def struck a nerve...

i kinda feel the same way i see my fiances cousin, who has been in and out of rehab for crack, in and out of jail for stealing over 80K from her parents (who adopted her and wont press charges) and writing bad checks... go ahead and get pregnant by some kid she met in crack rehab and then sits at every family function and chain smokes whilst saying "i just cant wait to get this thing outta me... its such an inconvienice to not be able to sleep on my stomache at night"

its the kinda feeling that your zip tied to the edge of a mouse wheel and its being spun at mach 9000 and you have no control... theres just some thngs u cant control or change...

but i like to think that the next time this kid tries to ride someones ass hell remember the kid that busted out in his face that night and maybe hell let off the gas b4 he rear ends someone and wrecks another families life

Edit: and the reason i had even mentioned i had two drinks was b/c as i had said i was just taking my time driving... certainly i did not feel buzzed nor did i feel i was impaired, but thats not to say a cop couldnt pull me over for who knows and by some chance decide i looked or was acting intoxicated... i was just playing it safe and minding my own business... had it had been any other night i would have been in a rush to get home and would never have even been in that situation b/c it would have taken me ten minutes to get home vs the 15-16 it takes me when i take my time
