I recently took my 01 into the stealership for warranty trans work and they said book time R&R was 32 hours. I was like WTF I could R&R the trans in about 10 in my driveway. Can someone confirm 32 hrs is ford booktime on a tranny R&R.

What the heck its not like I am only paying $100 for a brand new trans.

EXACTLY I did a manual R&R on my probe in 6 hours. Those trannys are light I pulled it out with my bare hands. That was with plain hand tols and a floor jack I might add. Ford is Effin crazy.

So averaging an 8hr day your dealership is saying it would take them 4 days to remove & install the transmission.

You should tell them they need to hire a better tech.

HEll I think my 11 year old daughter could do it faster and better than a dealership

Yeah I told him I could do it in 6, He said come down and fill out an APP, HAHA.

*Edit the only reason I took it to the stealership is because they have a brand new CD4E in stock and they accepted my crappy warranty.

That's about right if they are stripping the trans and rebuilding it IF it's a CD4E.
