So what I have right now is a 2.5L with CAI headers and exhaust. The car is running rich and I want to get a tunning program to get it running perfect. Although I know Im not going to see a big performence gain from it yet but down the road I plan on running a 100 shot of nitrous with the progressive controller along with the SVT UIM, and TB so Im going to need a tunning program anyways. Im pretty sure from what I read that the best option for this would be the Xcal 2 with The PRP.
Question is
1) ADC sells the Xcal 2 but not the prp from what I can see so who sells them together?
2) What programs have other people been using?

Why is the car running rich with just a CAI and exhaust? If your car is running rich then you got some issues you need to fix.
You would be better off getting the chip than the x-cal. That way you can have two tunes on it (one NA and one with Nitrous). You could also get 4 tunes if you want to get it tuned using different amounts of nitrous, if it makes a difference (Im not sure). You can switch between the programs by turning a switch.
You may not want to get the PRP since you need a WIDE BAND O2 set up to tune with it. Just get a good dyno tune and you would be golden. You can always add the PRP later if you want.
Ohh... and call around dyno shops in your area by going to the SCT website. They can give you prices on the chip, X-cal, PRP, and dyno tuning. If you prefer a website buy talk to logan motorsports, he'll hook you up. You wont get a perfect tune unless you are on the DYNO btw. Stay away from ADC they are over priced IMO.
Just my 2 cents. GL.

I thought that you could have multiple tunes with the x cal 2. I thought that you could store up to 3 which would be 1 for saving fuel one for N/A fast driving and 3 for nitrous.
the reason i think that it is running rich is because under wot i get a gas smelll

Its true you can have 3 programs.
When i got mine they sent me 4 programs on the computer, but the xcal itself only holds 3 programs.

Yes it stores more than one tune, but you can't switch between the tunes easily.
what are you talking about, yes you can. you plug it in, and tell it which program you wanna use. a few minutes later, you're good to go. :)

I don't know what all you guys use for chip but if you use the SCT Eliminator Switch Chip, you can have up to 5 custom tune files now you can easily switch between files on the fly! Nitrous, Towing, or multiple octane gas types, the proper tune file is just a switch away.

I'd still rather have the xcal2. No mail order tunes (like ones that would be burned to a chip) are dead-on-balls accurate. With the xcal you can tweek them...
i understand the position on the flip switch to where you can change the tune in a matter of seconds...vs like, 2 minutes with an xcal2, but adjustability vs. 2 minutes less waiting...hmm...

No one said anything about mail order chips. Go to a dyno shop, have them tune your car than they will burn it to a chip. If you need multiple programs for Nitrous and such i would go with the chip so you can change it on the fly.

The chip and the x-cal are programmed the same way with the same software. You can't make adjustments with the x-cal unless you have the PRP. Same thing with the chip.
The X-cal can be used as a scanning tool (for CELs) which is a plus, but there is something you can get with the chip to do that to IIRC.

Thats not entirely true. If you have your tune exported in a .xtr file you can use the extreme tune software to modify some things in the file before burning it to your chip/xcal. You can even load in value files from another file with a .val extension provided by someone else over top of the tune you have with the extreme tune software.
