about personalized license plates...

how's it work? i decided to post it here since it relates to texas more.

i'm about to renew my plates. i figured i'd get a custom plate name as well. 6 chars, so i'm thinking "NO.XPSR" :biggrin:

anyone have any or know how?

Yeah, you go down to DMV and tell them you want personalized plates and I believe you write in 5 different things (just incase you choose something someone already has) also it can't pertain to racing. Like "LETSRUN" you know...

hehe... i think it's $40 more a year. i looked at the app and you have to write down 3 different names. i think it'd be easier if they had a form or you could call them to check that a name wasn't taken already... otherwise, it almost feels like when you sign up for an account... instead of PIMP, you get like PIMP78230 :(

dont know if it's the same in TX, but here, the extra you pay for custom plates goes to some good deed thing (enviormental something I think) - so it's kinda like a voluntary tax. I personally think it's worth the extra - Oregon has 2 year registration and custom plates are $50 extra ($55 or something for the standard registration) - so only $25 a year.

Yea I'd takem off your hands. My only concern is if the rear drift bumper will fill cause of my dual Exhaust:confused: My front bumper doesn't have the lower grill running across because it was already flopping around wanting to fall off on its own so I removed it.

depends if i can get them off my car. they were modified for fitment and i fusored them on. i'm still just thinking about it but i wont be going back to stock just different then now. probably a razzi kit, so its not so low with the coilovers. like i said its still just a thought.

well.... we had some different ideas about....everything. we just didn't work out the way we thought we would.

mostly it has to do with he was ready to settle down very seriously and i wasn't.

i wanted a career and to have some of those crazy life experiences. he wanted a wife and babies.

im independent and headstrong and he's old fashioned when it comes to relationships. we were a great pair for a while but like i said...we just didn't work

i already know how to replace 'em. i've got the info from another forum. the only thing is that im' supposed to cut off the speaker and leave the original mount and use "self-tapping" screws? i think that's the name. but anyways, i think i'm just gonna buy some mounting brackets and do it myself...

don't worry cricket man. i think i'll just wait a lil longer and do it the easy, painless, clean way. i guess i can wait a bit longer having the shetty stock speakers.
