I am wanting to remove the carpet on the bottom of my doors and do it in a blue suede to match my Kicker SS speakers. I also want to do the a, b & c pillars. (since the paint looks like total ass)
Any recommendations on suede vs ultra seude? Or something similar? I really like how the door panels on the STI and the new GTOs are with that hot blue suede. Me LIKE

I would suggest an upholstery weight ultra suede. The one to get is “Smart Suede”, which will take a lot of abuse and clean up easily. It will stretch when you apply it to conform to all the contours of the doors.
With real suede, it is tough to get the right color (especially blue) and is hard to keep up in an area like your door panels.
Good luck with your project and post pictures.

Definitely ultra suede. A real suede can't take much abuse and will be completely ruined if it gets even the slightest bit wet. My racing seats are made with ultra suede and vinyl and it's great.

SO what material are the door panels of the STI covered in?

If you want hard wearing, you can't beat leather. Add some stitching and padding and it looks pretty damm good to me......not that I am biased of course!

You have a few options. My gf's dad's company sells stuff called "Street Suede" and it's pretty nice. They sell it for $20 a yard wholesale but she can get it for around $13 a yard.
