Keystone Camping Meet - August 26th-27th in State College, PA!!!!

Our camping meet will be Saturday August 26th into Sunday August 27th at the Bellefonte/State College KOA, located 10 miles north of State College in central PA.

We have the group area reserved, which has a central fire pit, several picnic tables, and room for lots of cars and tents. The cost is $35.00 for the group area, plus $6.75 per person. The more that go, the cheaper it gets!!!!

Upon arriving, everyone needs to sign in at the office, and I will be collecting the money from everyone. We pay at checkout.

We can arrive anytime after noon on Saturday, and we have to be gone by 2:00 pm on Sunday.

All other chapters are welcome since we have lots of room for cars and tents!!


Here is the possible list of attendees...please post and update whether you are definetely going or not, and let's start of a list of what we need to bring and who's bringing what.

Well i really want to go since i haven't meet you guys yet even though iv been on here for a long time :banghead: BUT i might be installing my 3L on that weekend. My plan is to pull it next weekend 19-20 than have a week to do the finishing work on the 3L engine and the rest of the stuff that needs to be down since the motor will be out than install it on the 26-27.

workin hard to get the cougar ready to go.. got the temporary false floor finished today. battery relocation 75% complete. stereo re-install 50 % complete. Exhaust re-hang 50% complete... I took an extra day off to get the stuff done to make it drive-able

Are we just eating supper at the site or are we eating lunch, supper, and breakfast the next day?

Well, I just realized that dinner on Saturday is probably the only real meal....Maybe we can have dinner at the campsite, then go for a cruise or something afterwards....Let's still plan on dinner there, and figure out entertainment plans later.

I will be a maybe until next monday. Gotta drive home this coming weekend to virginia to see one of my best friends whos back from Iraq! If the car is driving good, I will come out fo sho.

I will be bringing a two-man tent if I can find it. Otherwise I'll be sleeping in the coug.

I will also be bringing a cooler with some ice but we will probably need more than one.

There are a ton of restaurants and **** in/around State College so we have a lot of options. Perkins, Waffleshop, PJ Harrigans (5.95 breakfast buffet on the weekends :biggrin: plus I used to work there), Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Outback Steakhouse, Hoss's, millions of pizza shops, chinese food, Quaker Steak, etc.

As for entertainment, there are a ton of bars. Too bad I'm not 21. There is also a gokart track not too far from here as well as a driving range. There is also a strip club about 15-20 miles(maybe???) from where we are staying. :biggrin:

That's about all the more I can think right now.

FYI, the Midatlantic FocalJet chapter is having their 'Focus on the lawn' meet in Bellefonte on the same weekend we are there. They have the KOA campground listed as a possibly place for everyone to camp, so I told them to stop over and say hi. Maybe if we go for a cruise or something we'll run into them.

I need some Focus modding ideas for the ZX3 :evil:

Well since Lee said i was having problems i figured i would explain.

Ford no longer makes the SVT radiator any more, its discontinued. I was lucky though, Bill found me one and got it shipped to me. Well the asshats that packaged it up basically didn't put any protective stuff with it and its got pretty beat up to the point where i cant use it. Now thats really not a ohh crap i cant do my 3L swap kind of think but it does add to the whole pie.

Second thing is for some WEIRD reason the crank bolt doesn't want to go in. When i bought my new DMD from someone on the boards it came with a "new" bolt but last week i bought another thinking the one that came with the DMD was used or something. Well thats not the case. I even looked at the crank threads using a magnifying glass and they look great. Tomorrow i will be trying again to see whats up with it. If i get the bolt threaded in i will be doing the swap so i at lease cant go. Its of course Lees decision on what hes doing.
