Let me talk it over with my wife, but I'm really interested in the bags. I just have a couple of questions.

For the time being, I just want to drive a little lower, 2" maybe and laying it out while parked. I don't plan on doing that side to side thing or dragging on the street...

How is the ride at regular height? If I grab these I'll be getting rid of my coilovers but I still plan on beefing up my suspension with the tubular LCAs, rear stabilizer bar, subframe connectors and possibly a traction bar. As I said, I'm building it for track use and I know a lot of muscle cars that are set up like this with bags, hence the reason I'm even thinking of bagging my Cougar.

I just don't want to lose out on my handling or cornering since I love how my car sticks to the curves. I've got an Aussie RSB and the ST200 RSTB with the Harness bar installed.

What do you guys think?

Would it be optimal to buy the bags with what I said of just stick with the GC coilovers?

holy sh!t man i had no idea you had all that suspension (beefy) work.

personally; my initial plan after a rebuilt motor was to go the route you're already on and keep the bags. it can work.

basically we can set it up so that you will actually be above stock height when all up and when laid out only be 3-4" below stock, therefore making your ride height around a 2 inch drop. hell i'll even give you the smaller parts...just incase you want them

at ride height for me its a bit bumpy....but i like it real low. where you're talking about its just stiff. like coilover.

Dude I need a driver side door Bad!!! I also need the springs that pop the hatch up & I broke my Line that shoots the window cleaner onto the window so.
So Gail How much for the door & the rest of the stuff?
The local shop what going to charge $250-300 for a used one but I kinda need to get new struts($260ish), Clutch($200). The Door @ the shop total with labor & paint is going to cost $600!
Just let me know & maybe we can meet half way or something. I just need the shell thats all not the entire thing. Thanks alot mang.

bk7's are 250. 1 is cracked and a 75 dollar repair job. tires are junk i'm negotiable a little on these

only one headlight and its 125.

arm rest is in. wrapped in tweed. easily removable but the arm rest is kinda fugly. 60 bones for the whole console

Well I think because the 4 banger cougars didn't come with wings so there for there was no need for the springs cause of no weight from a spoiler. Damn I'm smart! :biggrin:

the duece are sail panels? Do you mean SILL panels? if so then yeah you can have those too. 15 bux b/c they are scratched. but chrome so they should buff out.

Hey Gail, should I buy some new strut mounts before installing the air bags? I think I want to set it up at stock ride height, so when I slam it (actually, how far down does it go) I think it'll be a 4" drop, but I have no idea :confused: and I just want to run the switches to go down in the front and back seperately, no side to side action for me... I don't want to ruin what I already have.

predator- you should only need new mounts if yours are worn beyond belief or you've cut them up for some reason. mine are hacked to hell and will work for yours, i'd just need some tweaking to make them work right

funkboy- sail. ha. funny. both mine are actually home to my tweaters. if you want them with tweaters its 60bux since they are new. otherwise its 10 for both...with holes. sorry
