I just picked up a 80mm MAF from a Lightning and I also have a set of 42lb injectors. If I put them both in at the same time what would I have to change in the PRP software? Since the 80mm MAF came off of the Lightning that had 42lb injectors other than loading up the 80mm MAF table would I modify the MAF function if I will also be running 42lb injectors? How do I obtain the stock 80mm MAF transfer function? What would I change in the software to account for the larger injectors?

This is a good question.

First ask yourself what is your tune programmed for right now?

It doesn't matter that both the maf and injectors came from the same vehicle.
Your tune will have to input a new MAF transfer function and new injector slopes for the new components you put in.

I suggest you install just the injectors first and verify that you get it running fine at idle, cruise, and wot. This could take only an hour or so if everything goes right. Verify the long term fuel trims are within normal and the O2 sensors are working.
Then when you are confident the injectors work and that the tune is good with them installed, change the MAF function and begin the tuning again the same way.

Any idea where I would obtain the 80mm MAF function to input?

Just so you know how nice I am, I already converted it to mass/tic, the format that is used to input into the PRP.

Also, this function will only get you into the ballpark as in real life NO TWO MAFs have been exactly alike. That is what tuning is for. ;)

Hey, just FYI I found that the pounds mass/tic are not the same in every code. It seems that the scalar to multiply against the lbs/min to get mass/tic is different.
When you copy in the mass/tic values into the software you will have to see if it accurately reflects the correct lbs/min in the right hand column. If not, you will have to figure out the multiplier.
Anyway, the lbs/min vs the voltages ARE correct though so you have the information you need.

BTW, what is your processor code?

Wow the TwEECer is so much easier to set up the MAF function.

It's a simple 30pt kg/hr per volt chart. I do not even have to use my correlation Excel program I made. :) I made that back when I was supplying SF with MAF tables and fuel tuning tables. Funny how they (ADC) can't seem to tune our platform for sh~t now huh?

lol, yeah it would be easier if you could just punch it in that way. Oh well this makes it more exclusive. :D
