I just wondered if it would be worth it to get msds headers uncoated for about $200 and just buy a couple cans of hi-temp header paint and paint them? Would it last very long? How long WOULD it last? Anyone here done that and how long ago did you do it? Please gimme some input!!

I bought my headers unused from a guy who had that stuff on it. It pretty much could be chipped off pretty easily, but it could have just been the brand. Your best bet is to just buy the headers uncoated, and find a place locally to coat them for you. It costs more than the spray paint kind but you'll be assured that it won't have any problems in the future. Marty charges and arm and a leg for his coating, so search locally.
BTW, I have 2 e-brake handles lying around. One just the handle/lever assembly, and the other is the handle/lever assembly with the front line on it (line from handle to bracket). These are off a SVT so I don't know if they are the same on the cougar or not. PM if interested.

I painted my y-pipe with that junk, burns right off. You need to get it ceramic coated or something.
