I see that we as a chapter are having trouble getting all together for a meet, we're just all too popular and busy ;-) But, I am going to be going to a car show this upcoming sunday (august 6th) in Newburgh NY, about 1.5 hrs south of albany. Anyone interessted in coming along?? I have a few friends that are coming in from CT to the show, but I think it would be great to have more cougars show. The show is in Algonquin (?spelling) Park, Newburgh. I did this show 2 years ago and had a great time! There's no charge for spectators, and it's $25 day of show to show your car. Judging starts at 12noon. Hopefully someone will want to try to have a get together there? We can do food and such if anyone wants- I have the "tent" thing to stand under and I have chairs and such. C'mon guys let's try to get something going before the END of summer......... ~Amanda

ill be in my 99 concorde though cause my tC wont be here until the end of the month at best :(

I SHOULD be around on Sunday. It's only about 30 minutes from my house or so. I should also be able to get Cue to come along. Of course, this is assuming the weather doesn't completely SUCK... because if it's anything like these past two days, I'll be dead as soon as I step outside (this coming from the guy who wants to move to Tucson, AZ). Anyway, my Cougar was finally sold and i have the Saab now. No point of showing a stock car either, but I would love to run into some of the new empire members and some of the old. I have a horrible memory, so there's a good chance I'll forget about it too, so, if you wouldn't mind Amanda, could you shoot me another IM or give me a call or something. I want to see your car... it's probably been two years since I last saw it? Whenever that last show we all went to at Dutchess Stadium.
Realistic Dreamz first show was pretty successful, so I imagine since some time has passed since I've gone, it's only gotten better. Parking is kind of a PITA too in that area, but it should make for a good day if weather is good. Plenty of places to eat out that way too if anyone would consider doing the dinner thing.

yea the neighborghood is iffy also (to say the least).. I will be parking my 99 concorde :rofl: at my friends house which is about a block away from the park

Damn it had to be this Sunday.
I will be in Saratoga for a family outing for the weekend.
If I get back before noon on sunday then I will try to make it to the show.

Yes, it's the same place. It'll be funny, because now it's going to be you showing and us visiting... the only difference... Cue will not be there to take second (and last) place in the Cougar category... and you will probably do a LOT better than anything else in your category. I just want to see your car. I forgot what it looks like ;)
We are both planning on coming. Not sure what time, but I probably won't wake up until noonish anyway. Good luck and see you tomorrow at some point. Feel free to give me a call to make sure I still remember to come (or woke up at all). It's been a while.

The show went well, nice turnout! I got to see Pat and Mark- so I'm guessing this could count as an empire meet. lol
There were some really nice cars there, I personally didn't take any pictures bust some friends I was with did. Hopefully I can get some up on here soon.... I took first in domestic other, a friend got 1st in ford, good show overall. Amanda
