Alright so I have GMK's CAI (for now), SVT TB and SVT UIM~

I had the CAI and SVT UIM and the engine ran like a champ, no codes, nothing

Put on the TB and Poof , CEL~

Grabbed a friend's OBDII Reader and it's reading as LEAN (Bank 1) and LEAN (Bank 2)

Im not completely retarded, some may beg to differ but i promise im not, but i know the mixture has to be within a certain margin for the ECU not to go haywire and throw codes. I usually run 87octane when I'm daily driving it and 93 when I goto the track. I tried 89 and it still said LEAN, then tried 93 and it's still lean, any words of wisdom and insight would be AWESOME!! and uber appreciated

please help my baby

Also~keep your fingers crossed that this company im taking my car to, to get the sunroof replaced, does a good job :) Getting it replaced with tinted glass instead of the standard Moonroof

~story on that really quick, went to cleveland to visit the fiancee's family, parked the car, shut the moonroof cuz it looked like it was gunna rain, shut without problem, no strange noises or hesitations, nothing, went to open it 2 hours later and it tilted and stopped, again no strange sounds nothing, just got stuck in the tilt position. I got out and looked, the pegs that hold the backend of the moonroof to the track had both snapped and now it flaps in the wind...not to mention it looks like ass

You have a vacum leak.

Did you use a new gasket with the TB?

you have a vacuum leak because we forgot to hok the PCV back up.

Relax. It will go away. Or you can always reset the computer if you;re THAT paranoid.

Nad: Yes a new gasket was used

Andy: Thanks to you, the vaccuum leak is no more, thanks again for installing it~and I'm just a bit paranoid about CEL because ive heard evil things about the car performing like ass after a while with a CEL

Reset the ECU, unplug the battery cables for 20 minutes, that'll work. My intake wasnt secured right, and it slid right off the throttle body, causing my CEL to come on, after i fixed the intake...the CEL was still on, and yes it ran like ****, slow ass hell etc etc, i reset the ECU and now i run like a champ again...and no CEL.

Bank 1 sensor 2 is the easiest since its in the y-pipe or bank 2 sensor 2. But yeah if your lazy than your going to have the CEL.

I'm going to agree that it's likely you have a vacuum leak unless, for some reason, the throttle body is really messed up.

By the way, higher octane gas has NO affect on vehicle performance or whether the vehicle runs rich or lean.

The ONLY thing octane affects is when the fuel self ignites. Higher octane fuels can withstand higher pressures (compression ratios) without spontaneously combusting before the spark plug has a chance to ignite the fuel/air mixture. This pre-detonation causes spark knock which can damage the engine.

Save your fuel money unless your vehicle has a higher than stock compression ratio and, if it does, you need high octane fuel all of the time.
