like all roadtales start...
"So I'm minding my own business and..." ;)
...On my way to the grocery store of all places, and I'm stopped at a light at an intersection waiting to turn left... this black ford explorer pulls up behind me. Bunch of kids... so I don't think anything of it.
When the light turns green, I make the turn normally, then get into the right lane... he follows... I start going up the gears normally when I see him start gaining fast, then snap over to the left lane.
At this point, I decide that I'm going to be a dick, and not let him pass.
Foot down in 3rd gear... and the explorer all of a sudden stops gaining, then a quick shift to 4th takes care of him.
It wasn't a race, since we didn't start at the same time... but he had a jump on me before I realized what he was doing, and he still didn't even make it closer than one car length...
Anyway, all of that isnt really important... my question is - is that good or bad?
Are explorers slow? This one had to be a 2005... looked really new (probably the kids parents...)
The last 'thing' that raced me was a yellow/orange city utility truck... complete with all the ladders and electrical equipment in the back, and before that, it was a taxicab. So I don't really have anything to compare it to
