Just trying to get ready. I would like to have a BBQ as well. I just ask if everyone could bring a dish or food to pass around that would be cool. And also I'm making a list so I know how many people to expect. I will PM everyone with my address and phone number. Yes I do live off of a dirt road but it's not that bad at all. Starts around noon. If it goes late into the night we could throw a bonfire.

Now I'm hopefully with some help going to redo my headliner, install angel eyes and clear corners in my headlights, struts, roters if they come in time, install taillights. We have a garage full of tools but bring whatever you think may be needed.

My parents have also given the okay to let somebody stay if they need to. We have an air mattress or the floor if you want. So I could have a few people stay if needed.

The "yes"

1) Ron, Jenny & Neco- Chicken + potatoes + ketchup pringles
2) George- Cake (cheesecake!)
3) Brad- Corn
4) Mark- Hot dogs & Buns
5) John- Burgers
6) Pyro- Drinks
7) Andrew & Nancy- "something special"
8) Brett- Mr.Pibb
9) JAMallott- bagles??? ()
10) Jason!-Chips and dip of sorts
11) Ryan- Plates & Napkins
12) Bobrobw- ?
13) Jamie- salad of sorts
14) Alex- Stewarts Soda
15) Nandalora

The" Mights"
1) Smitty- ?
2) Puma1- ?
3) Tisher- ?
4) Rachel- ?
5) KustomCougar- ?

Now all you question marks better bring something to eat or drink. Also what would everyone like to eat, should we stick to burgers and hot dogs or chicken and ribs? Or a little of everything?

Anything else throw me a PM. Should be fun guys!

Bring chairs unless you guys want to sit in the grass.

Hmm, slap me into the maybe section, it all depends on my funds. I dont like to get too low.

Things I have to install:
SVT LIM
Max Eh UIM
CAI
KYB Struts
Coil Over Springs

Things I might tackle tomorrow:
SVT LIM
Max Eh UIM

So since your doing struts Lisa, I wonder if anyone knows how to do Coil overs? I could end up spending all day on my car if I go! I personally dont care where I sleep, a hardwood floor for all I care. This looks exciting, so that might persuade me to go.

Put me down for plates and napkins, this way if I fall through, its something you can easily get.

Lunar Limelight
07-27-2006, 06:47 PM
I'm sure somebody can help with coil overs. Hopefully Mark will be able to do my struts.

We have floors. You will be able to crash somewhere.

Plates and napkins work. I just hope it dosn't rain and isn't stupidly hot.

Hopefully you will be able to make it.

ClaymoreWW

yes, i plan on the cheesecake and not doing much but helping if and where needed. neither of my sons are available, so it will just be me :(

lisa, hit me on AIM or PM here so I know how to get where i need to go.

I'd be glad to help with the aforementioned CAI and lisa's headlights, even the UIM/LIM. Suspension is a big job that requires the right tools, so be prepared for that.

I might even have some new items ready for that meet, at least to demo ;)

oh god, I got a loongg list of things I could use help/supervision [supervision IS the key word]

group 1:
D2 coilovers and tubular front LCA's. [should be pretty smooth, most everything has been recently replaced]
group 2:
svt radiator swap and tranny cooler
group 3:
HID headlight install
group 4:
I need help swapping out my power steering tank.

Why isnt this a 2 day event? Seems like we got a series of Mods needing to be done from numerous people. I could bring my suspension for anyone knowledgable of knowing what to do just in case. Mark, you seem to be pretty confident, especially if only using your bare hands! You might need a wrench, I see some rust over my bolts on the stock suspension :)

Convince me to go!! Im already 75% there!

bensenvill
07-28-2006, 06:27 AM
well if your suspension hasnt been serviced in a while, it would probably be a good idea to jack your car up a few times the week and start hosing those rusty bolts with some PBblaster.

My rear suspension has been pulled so many times over the past few months. I started spraying down the front bolts yesterday. I'd love to do this entirely by myself but I dont have spring compressors and I'm not sure how to pull the front LCA apart from the knuckle.

oh ya soldier, if you want to see a true suspension setup... well, I got something to show you then, lol.

Ah, whew, ignore my comment in my PM Lisa, glad its not tomorrow... =)

Anyways, I will be there, and kid-less since I'm taking the kiddos tonight. I plan on bringing something, but not sure what. Ideas? If ya wanted Lisa I could pre-make the burgers or something like that -- I do some KILLER burgers... =)

I assume, although I am not sure -- but I might need a headlight flasher install while we're there, since I'm dragging my Cougar out again. (I need to drive it more than 2 times a year I figured.)

soldier989
07-28-2006, 02:17 PM
Yes they sell the Pibb here in Ohio, its so tasty. When I drank pop, it was always that or Dr. Pepper. I miss it so :( If you need more, lemme know, I can bring some.

Thanks for the info Bensen, I will miss my DVD ever so sadly :-(

Yeah, Lisa I'm coming!! Wife may too. I will be sanding and prepping my new spoiler for paint. And finishing a fiberglass box. Also might do a set of valve cover gaskets and gutting the precats on the wifes car.

*EDIT I can help with the numerous suspension people that need work. I have all the tools required including spring compressors. And have done ALOT of suspension work. I could do it with my eyes closed.

Lunar Limelight
07-28-2006, 08:03 PM
John burgers sound great! That would be perfect. Pyro faygo sounds good too.

My house is a booze free house. Sorry guys. Parentals don't drink and well ya know how it is.

oh BRING CHAIRS!

Andrew what are you bringing? Can you bring a salad or something like that?

Ron- Jenny and I were going to run to the georcery store anyway. She's said she would teach me how to make those yummy potatoes.

Parhaps I can get my dad to grill for us. I'm sure he will.

soldier989

Im a mean cook! No really, im mean, I will throw your food at you! Haha, just kidding.

Im pretty much set on going, still trying to get somemore Ohio support on this event. Just think, if a mod meet is getting this much attention, imagine the Cedar Point meet in the fall. It could rock! I may be celebrating my Cougars 130k mile anniversary....or something like that.

I will bring my suspension for any knowledgeable person to look into.

Well your right, at least Im not. I used to, but that was in a time period only spoke of in history books, way, way, way! back in the year 2003-04 when gas was an amazing price of $1.35 a gallon.

Think hard for those of you who were alive to remember these days, and bow your head and give a moment of silence, for I do not think we will ever see gas less than $2.20 again.
