So what started off as a typical drive to work turned into a racing free-for-all
On my way to the highway this guy in the neighborhood next to me with a pretty new looking pacifica (AWD) got in front of me... he like me was in a hurry so we made it to the highway relatively quickly (890 of I-90)... as usual I cut the on ramp into the left lane like i do every morning and blow by everyone in the right hand lane... except he was still behind me and staying with me... gets to a point where there are no more cars in the right lane and gets up along side me... we are doing about 85-ish in a 55... next thing I know... I've got a crotch rocket on my tail... at this point 890 goes three lane... the other dude exits right and the crotch rocket gets in the left most lane and blows by me... well WTF i'm already running high, and hes already a good clip ahead, so I have my rabbit and decide to open it up... around 120mph ish I catch up and around 80mph level off and give the "rock on" or "kick ass" head nod and he exits to the right... I cool my heals for the enxt two exits and take mine for work (same exit as the local community college)... pole position is a v6 accord (or so the badge said)... he heard my subs bumpin and got all anxious at the light... apparently he isnt there often or its just my ability to read lights im always at but I got him off the line (the traffic pattern here dictates you must go left) so I get him and run it to about 55 in the 35 heading across the bridge and I just shut it right down and let him FLYYYYYYYYY by me... and for good reason... 75% of the mornings there is a cop sitting in the Jumpin Jacks parking lot right after the bridge... and this morning, sure enough... Scotia/Glennville just waiting for a bite...
I gave him his congratulatory "drive by wave" as he was getting his paycheck for the week readjusted and drove very nicely the last 5 minutes to work...
