Sweet night.. played with a Lotus.

So driving to a buddies after work get a light with a Chev 2500 HD with the Duramax desil. Not thinking anything of it drive off casually, get another light. I look over this time and theres some smokin' girl driving ;) Look back (got Motley Crue playing, windows rolled down)..light turns green. So I take off will a little more spunk as usual (because she kinda did too, knowing thoes truck can haull but don't know how hard) ..then I hear the turbo spool and she gets on it. Still in first I punch it, pull a little (half a car) cherp it into second, and pull some more, third and I can just barely see her headlights in my rear-view. Started breaking, she notices and does the same :)

yay +1? I had no clue how fast these trucks were. (and she may not know how to drive)

Heres the fun part...(still on ym way to my buddies)

Catch a light with some chicks in a civic, just drive like a regular fella, then I notice a Yellow Lotus Elis behind the civic(2001 I think, looked like the same one on my brothers lot that sold the day it came in..and there wouldn't be too many in town.) :biggrin: so I give it a little more gas, and switch infront of the Civic. Dude in the Lotus goes around the civic and comes beside me, I just look admiring his car, he switches infront of me to turn left at a red (same way I'm going) I follow him, he merges onto Whoop-up Drive. Sweet (this is a 55 zone) then he punches it, so I drop it in second to try to stay with him arond the bend (yea they corner like a dream).. he slows down so I can catch up lol and I switch lanes and creep up beside him. He downshifts and punches it, I do the same...

He was gone! instantly gaing 3-5 cars..that thing moved...I downshift as soon as I saw he did and brought her up to 90mph ..Lotus...still pulling (maby a bus and a half now)...we merge onto University ...he punches it again and is way gone (i didnt even bother that time, saw him do it once that was good enough for me) turn off to go to my buddies house with a huge grin.

Just got my doors blown off by a Lotus, and I loved it! :biggrin: Would have given him a thumbs up but I think if I tried to come near him he would have just took off again lol.

Oh well good start on a great night. :)

Lol...your good for just keeping up with the lotus for even a min. I wouldnt have even bothered to keep up cuz i know i dont stand a chance. but good job trying to tho. That is def a fun night to run into a Lotus..very rare

Ha ha. Yea, I wouldn't even have bothered. Kinda like when that guy in a Porsche tried to race me at a light. I saw that Carrera later on, same road but going opposite directions this time, and he revved at me. Is this old man a ricer or something? You win old man.

kick ass dude... i love it when those guys give us a little fun... i think (depending on if your some stupid ricer or not) it might give them a good kick... obviously they know your gunna lose, but just to see how people handle their cars can often be enough for props alone even if you lose

more often then not i seem to end up seeing these people later on and we end up talking about it

this one guy with a vette around my work blew me apart one day... and about a week later he was at subway... we chit chatted in line and all but you can tell with people when they either thinky our some stupid ricer fag or a real car buff

Frankly, I'm pretty tired of people flaming this Black Betty kid. Personally, I think his tales might be a little bit embellished, but I don't feel the need to call him out on them every time he posts. I guess it just doesn't bother me that much.

I myself do not race, whether it be on the street or on the strip. The ticket just wouldn't be worth it to me, and I don't feel the need to beat the crap out of my car on a drag strip to see how fast a whopping 170 horsepower would get me down the track, but you don't find me flaming him for every thread he makes about every time he plays with someone on the highway. I could screw with every riced out Neon or Cavalier I see on my way to work if I wanted to. It's not my thing, it is his, so be it, whatever.

If you don't like the thread, stay the hell out of it.

ok ok I'll stop bsing really the Lotus was an old lady in a 1990 firefly and she had a hear attack when I passed her, then she hit another old guy walking across the street, then the old guy bounced off the car and hit a toddler who was running around at 12:00am for some reason, the todler then craped his pants and the smell was so horrid it caused a 52 car pile up behind me injuring many. :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:
