Coming back from the track my Dad and I did a quick 50mph
roll on race. I said go we both went I jumped a car then he caught up a little
then as the mph got to around 70 or 80 I nudged up a little more.

All in all pretty even. At the track he took me since my struts are toast and
I have no choice but to take off very slowly or wheel hope takes over.
I got him in overall trap speed. See slip I'm trapping 101 I have a 13 second run in the car I just need to get some suspension so I can get off the line.

Dad: 01 Mustang GT I/H/E pulleys and superchip automatic tranny
Me: 00 Cougar 2.5L I/H/E pulley, AFC-II, 50 shot, SVT stuff and misc others
His best run 14.4 with O/D on and X-pipe off the car. Mine is still a 14.8:(

Wow still not bad knowing that it's a b!tch to launch at the track. Nice time still.

Thanks guys
yeah if I'm trapping in the 101mph range I know this car has some
lower times in her. Yeah I just made some extra money in OT at work and
sold some rims and tires I had so I should have more than enough to get
some nice struts and a drag link set up.

Did you say your Father hit 14.4 with open headers? I bet $50 he will hit 14.0 if he keeps his exhaust on.

Sorry I wasn't very clear. What I ment was he had his borla exhaust
on the car instead of just the x-pipe. I'm going to put his
X-pipe onto his shorty headers for next time.
If anything I would think the Borla side exit exhaust creates
too much back pressure. The mufflers are actually a foot
or so behind the tailpipes. He had a full tank of gas too.

We're going to be prepared next time we hit the track.
Maybe I'll have my suspension by then too.:)

There's no such thing as true "backpressure", only the overall speed of the flow of the exhaust.

NICE trap speed though!

In any case, I believe this belongs in Dyno and Drag...
