Ok, my 2002 cougar is going up for sale. Since it still has the warranty with it, I'm looking to get something between $11 or 10k for it. I do not have the "for sale" signs on the windows yet so if you know anyone interested in buying her, you have first dibbs. If anyone is interested, please drop me a message.

Why are you selling the cougar, Rachel?

The insurance for the cougar is outageous because I have to have full coverage. I don't have the money to do anything with it because of that. Lately I have been too busy to go to any of the meets. And to be honest, my heart is just not in it anymore. I have been eyeing a blue Mustang for sale in the neighborhood and now my brother is talking me into eithe a Camaro or Trans Am. Both are very enticing.

You dont have to have full coverage, even if its financed. Just drop collision and keep Comp and all your coverages to state minimum. The bank already insures your car with the interest in the loan they just dont tell you, they want you to carry coverage so their premiums dont go up in case of a loss. Trust me I carry PLPD on both my cars and pocket the money I would be feeding the insurance company. If I have an accident the money is there for it. If I dont its money for mods. I was paying roughly 6700 a year for full coverage with AAA, then I dropped them and went with Esurance and pay 272 for six months. Now thats money you can play with

Yea, do that. Then get into an accident like me and have to pay for ALL of it yourself. Not a good choice, I will never skip out on collision for any car '95 or newer car I own. Let's see some pics of this beaut, must be nice for $10 or $11K.

The trick is to keep the money in the bank. I've got over 8 grand in savings right now by not paying the rip-off company. Once my rates drop I will reinstate my collision and have enough money to do some things.

That's a good plan, I wish it had worked for me, but it was my fault anyway.

This car is like completely virgin when it comes to mods. I have another extra I am willing to throw in with it also if the buyer wants it. lol and if an mc neco member wants it, it still has the mc neco sticker too.
