Hey peoplez...

I have my street weapon front bumper sitting up here in my room.
I don't know what to do with it. I had it with my familiar body shop for two months while I was away in New York.
I come back..and they told me they can't install it because of some liablity reasons...I tried everything!!!

Does anyone have any suggestions?
If not...I'm going to sell it....That would mean the end of modifying my cougar =<

Liability reasons?

I wouldn't say not being able to install your street weapon bumper being the end of your modding days, there's got to be tons of other stuff out there you can do to it..... =>

Do they have to remove the impact bumper?
If so this might be where the liability comes into play.
Just a thought

Yea, that is the liability they would be running into. You do have to remove the impact bumper which really make it not so much more dangerous for the driver, but if you do get in what would normally be a lil' nothing of a wreck would now cause several thousand dollars to repair. It's there to absorb the shock of a 15mph or under impact and not cause any other damage to the car. Without it you are opening up your engine bay and frame for costly damage. If you still think the look is worth it (I don't) then just find a little shop that doesn't care about liabilities...I'm sure there are several out there.

yeah the impact bumper has to be removed...but i found out that i can put it over the protective impact piece now, only if I shave the fiberglass underneath on the other side....

ugh....i didn't know i had to go through so much trouble just to get this to work!

You've also got to think about coverage. Would the insurance pay in full if you tampered with a saftey device? This is one of the bigest reasons I won't go with either SW or Dragon-Z. If in the end you decide you really wath this....go for it. Like Rich said I'm sure there are body shops out there that would happily take your money. Any way it goes good luck.
