I'm a cheesecake snob. I only like the standard flavor, preferably without fruit on it either. And I'm really particular about the texture too.

Cool... That'll be a non-daddy weekend for me, so I should be there... I'm going to try and pick up the Cougar from the shop for a bit -- I wanna drive it for awhile if it'll fit in the driveway now. :D
Hey Brad, wanna test how good the driveway is with yer car first? You made it before, so I will be able to tell how much more clearance you gained with the fix. It'll reassure me that I won't destroy my bumper again since it just got fixed. :P

I'll be driving it to my garage sale Saturday so call me on your way back from Jackson and I'll let you know how it goes.
Oh yeah, I'm selling crap Saturday/Sunday at my/John's house so if you're bored stop by. No Cougar stuff for sale unfortunately :(

Hmm...I have a buncha stuff I have laying around needing to be installed....And this is only 208 miles away....maybe an outsider might show up....
Im thinking about this, maybe I should stop being lazy and order the needed gaskets and seals.
Anyone done a CAI that will be there thats willing to assist?
bensenvill
07-26-2006, 05:16 PM
trust me, you wont be the outsider. I dont know the milage but chicago isnt exactly kitty corner
soldier989
07-26-2006, 05:28 PM
Haha, outsider was meant to be as someone not from Motor Cities.
Kinda a scary thing to mod your car 200 miles away from home. But there is enough Cougar brain there im sure to make sure all goes well.

Does anyone have a nice comfortable floor, or lawn, or something to sleep in? I really wouldnt wanna get a hotel, I just got my medical bills in.
Still thinking about this, but the date is on the horizon for this. I also need to order gaskets. What was that guys e-mail from Bill Jenkins (cant remember his name, hope thats it)?

People are welcome to crash at my place, but you have to cross the border into big bad Windsor!
soldier989
07-27-2006, 06:24 PM
What is needed to cross over? Last time I went they were peeved that all we had was out state ID's. Ive heard you need a passport now! But I have no problem going to Windsor, I can drink there legally :-D
Brian, are you gonna come to Columbus and tag along? Whats the plan on this?
This is still kinda up in the air for me, the medical bills are rolling in, and gas isnt getting any cheaper.

07-28-2006, 12:06 AM

bensenvill
07-28-2006, 01:30 AM
if you dont have a passport, its not a bad idea to have your birth certificate.
soldier989
07-28-2006, 04:22 AM
Yeah, dont have a passport. Canada is like the 2nd USA, its kinda rediculous to need it to pass through, but I guess its understandable. I wanna finalize some things first before I can completey say what im doing, or where im saying.
Lisa says she's got a nice comfy floor full of love from cats and dogs, cant miss out on that, lol. I will figure it out. Im sure that they will let me into Canada, last time they just said we had 1 free pass with just our state ID's. Getting into the U.S. was easier than Canada....oddly.
LadyX
07-28-2006, 09:46 AM
HA! you don't need the passport to get into Canada, you'll need it to get back into the United States!!

I still loved the way I made it across last time. =) I just followed Brad and pointed, "I'm going camping, and I'm with him." Then the border guards reply was classic...
"Where in Canada do you go camping with cars like that?"
=)
Also, as a rule of thumb. When you return to the US do not throw a cig out the window at a cop car, even if he is tailgating you, they don't like it.

I'll be driving up in my truck. I usually carry a fair amount of stuff to a mod meet and don't really want to move it around a lot. How about we meet somewhere then drive up as a 2 vehicle caravan?

OK, for anyone who wants one, I'll have some headlight flashers at Lisa's for a reduced price of $100 each. That's a huge price drop!
PM me if you want one so I can make sure to bring enough.

May want to state if that price includes installation or not.
Just a thought. People should jump on these!

Yes it obviously includes installation assistance for people I know! The only part I don't prefer to do is going through firewalls so I request assistance of the person whos car I'm installing it in for switch locations, etc...

Gutting cats is frightening and messy!!!! Bring a goggles, a hair net and overalls. It's a hell of a mess. You also need metal exhaust patch if you drill into the front cat to gut it. That's how Puckpuck did his.

So, who's got this funky coolant hose lying around? I recruited a new member and she has a hole in it near the pump itself in the wide spot. Ford is F'd up for designing this one piece big a$$ piece of crap hose that forces you to replace the entire thing if you don't feel like cobbling it up and being creative like I did on mine.
