New Section Perhaps [Archive]

I'm always trying to think of ways to give back to this great community that has always helped and supported me... One thing, as some of you may have noticed, is that I fancy myself an "IT Guru" and usually jump in on helping people out with computer issues

So, that being said, would anyone else here be interested in having an "IT Corner" where networking/security/software/issues can be discussed?

Some Ideas I Had:
-HowTo's for basic security
-Software recomendations and reviews
-Troubleshooting
-Weekly spotlight on something IT Related

and maybe a few others...

Just throwing it out there... obviously i think its a good idea!

What do ya think?

I'd be all for that, say as a "sub-forum" of the Lounge? Kinda like the Photoshop section of the Vids/Pics Forum?

I voted no, only because of the plethora of people on here who work in the IT field. I think this would only cause problems and arguments amongst each other. You've seen how some threads have turned out, Mac is better than Windows, Windows is better than Mac, blah blah blah.

So I'm going with a big NO in my opinion.

That's a big negative, 10-4.

There are other forums people can get help with that, and they can still just post computer and IT related questions in the lounge.

What's next? How about sub-forums for sports, jobs, weather, news, games, movies, music, and jokes? See what I mean?

I liked the sub folder for the photoshops - because that's directly related to cougars. IT is jsut another OT. Like Wade said.... why stop there. add a sub for everything under the sun.
