So I've been waiting until the last minute trying to decide if I could afford to go to fest this year or not. I had a wedding booked to photograph on July 8th, so I wasn't really saving up for it because I never thought I'd be able to go. The couple decided to change the date of their wedding, which freed me up for the weekend. So yeah, I've been scrounging, to say the least :)
Meanwhile, Mr. NorCal, NECO's El Mucho Post Wh0ro himself, decided to buy $50.00 worth of raffle tickets just to help out Cougarfest. He ended up winning the Cougarfest survival kit registration package! Since he ended up not being able to go himself, he decided to donate his winnings to someone needy...that being me!!!
Between that and being able to quickly sell a few things I had laying around to fund the trip and hotel room, I am leaving for Cougarfest tomorrow morning!
I owe a huge thank you to Mr. Norcal for being generous with his winnings...
