BUT STILL NOT IN THE 12'S!

Additional mods since the last run are:

-65mm TB
-a 3" OD intake pipe instead of the injen one i had (2-5/8 ID)
-i took the spare tire out this time but other than that it was full weight
- and i unhooked the exhaust at the y-pipe
- and both runs were made with a 125 shot

.....I am determined to get this stock motor into the 12's

Nope no fest for me. Even if i did come there is no way i would put my car on the track with a 125 shot and drag radials considering i would be 13.5 hours from home!

I thought everyone said it would be fine with a proper tune.....;)
When I mentioned issues with the engine being able to handle it
I was told I had no idea what I was talking about.

Nice times by the way
Are you using a TPS trigger or something else?
What are you using to check A/F again?

Who said the engine couldn't handle it?

It's just a WOT switch hooked to my BMN Window Switch that i have set to spray from 4-6800 rpms.

And i don't have anything checking AFR as of yet. I just added some fuel with the SCT stuff, and pulled a god bit of timing when the nitrous hits in, and then pulled a little less the closer i got to redline. That goes to show you how close those jets are to "being right" from Nitrous Express. If the AFR was off at all to the lean side the motor would have taken a crap 20+ bottles ago. lol

you've run 20+ bottles with a 100 shot?
If your A/F was/is off with the smaller shots it will be less
likely to cause damage than a lean condition with a 125 shot obviously.
I was just wondering what you were checking A/F with.

I'm glad to see somebody showing that the 2.5L isn't no damn slouch. That's awesome...

That makes sense I guess, your not using 100/125 right off the launch.

No you don't...that is easy enought to do with two people...one under the dar and one "holding the stick" inside the car...we can do it when we install the B&M

I was wondering you said that you aren't spraying
off the line right? So you ran a 2.0 60' without spray?
Even with drag radials a 2.0 N/A is:crazy:
350 above sea level noice

What's your suspension set up?

I'm not really trying to break my axles. I like to drive my car, and not work on it a whole lot. So until you can run a 8.6 in the 1/8th and a 13.2 in the 1/4 you can keep the  to yourself.

If you don't like what I have to say that really doesn't bother me. I
I don't care if you run a 6 second quarter mile that doesn't mean I can't
voice my opinion. or ask questions So blow that sh!t out your vagina kid!

Why so defensive?
I just haven't seen any N/A Cougars pull a 2 second 60'
Thought it was "crazy" that a N/A 2.5 pulled a better 60' time than a N/A 3L Hybrid.
And that's what you are saying right? You ran a 2 second 60' with no nitrous
off the line....that's pretty amazing:crazy: <----oh no!!!!
Grow up man it's just a car..... you are not king of the world
because you run a ridiculous shot of nitrous through your engine.
Thanks for making me laugh though I've had arough day:)

Vagine...kid... Your a funny...kid. ;)

I am not spraying right off the line. The nitrous activates when i get above 4,000rpm. I don't know if i am past the 60ft. or not when i get to that rpm. If i had to guess i would say i am already spraying when i get to the 60ft.

If you consider a 27 year old married man with a house and 5 cars a kid
you must be pretty old:biggrin: You should have said before all I had to
do was insult you to get an answer.

It's "you're" not "your" so what suspension do you run?

OMG...now we have another George on our hands!

I have GCs w/ Koni's. I also raise the back of it up when i go to the track to help out that much more. I think my Koni's are nearing the end of their life though. The ride is getting much bouncier than usual, and i thought i saw some grease on the strut last time i took the suspension apart. I just didn't think much of it at the time. The Koni's probably have 60k plus on them, the whole time with GCs so i don't know...

EDIT: how's that truck do in the mud?

gyger

Koni's seem to be the way. Sounds like a good race set up.

The truck? she does okClicky here! (http://www.newcougar.org/forums/showthread.php?p=1062606#post1062606)

Hey I ran a 2.0 60 foot N/A in my Hybrid 3L (before switching to a full 3L) with Falken Zeix 512's on my 18" rims. :) It's not impossible just rare. I bet I could beat a 2.0 with DR.

Nice times ilovemycar (http://newcougar.org/forums/member.php?u=4312).

I know you did I was using your 3L 2 second 60' time as my example.
this is a 2.5 that's the point I was getting at. But know we now he's spraying
well before 60' and it makes perfect sense.
