Yes, I know, a lot of you have been asking about this years event. I already had all the details, I just didn't have the time to update the website with everything. Once again the hotel will be changing and hopefully for the last time. We had a good hotel until they put a waterpark in it :banghead: and jacked up the price! The other 2 obviously were not ideal. Since so many of the hotels around Cedar Point are not known for being the cleanest/etc, I decided to not look for the cheapest hotel this year, but don't worry it's not the most expensive either. I did a lot of research, reading countless hotel revies from many, many, many websites and this is one of the few that had no complaints, no matter where I went I found rave reviews. We will be staying at the La Quinta Inn Sandusky. Their rooms start at $81/night and go up to $149 for a suite. To get the $81 price you must book your room online, otherwise it will be $89.

As some may already know the date will be Sept. 23rd this year. It will be very similar to last year (just a different hotel and location for breakfast the next morning). I heard no complaints about the location for dinner (within the park) last year so I stuck with that same place this year. Of course as always we will have lunch at the buffet (I couldn't find anywhere that listed the price this year, so I'm assuming it hasn't changed). I thought we would go to Cracker Barrel for breakfast Sunday morning (just 1 mile from the hotel going towards the freeway).

I hope this answers most of your questions. For more details goi to the our webiste and click on the link for Mini-Fest.

I'm there... Not sure which car I'll bring since the Coug might be put up by then, but I will be there for sure. I went a month ago or so with my kids, but you know how that goes, not many rides for dad -- so I wanna catch the ones I didn't get to hit last month... Plus, Halloweekends just owns -- there's a new "Dark Carnival" they were advertising this year, as well, should be sweet...

And I'll get another look at the new coaster they are building back by the water rides.

Looks like I might be suffering from schedule fatigue :( It's possible I may not make it this year, yet again. Hopefully I can at least make it up there in the evening, and have dinner, and a  or   with y'all and enjoy the company, even if I miss the Point. I'll do my darn-est to make it though!

Tickets are $40 I believe this year. But you can usually get discounted tkts.

I know im going, I cant ever pass up a good time at Cedar Point, especially with some awesome people. Hopefully the top thrill will be up and running, 1 out of 3 times I have gone since the ride has been up, has it worked. Its the best ride evar!!

Some of the haunted houses are pretty sweet, they are generally made by the local college as a project for them, so I give props to them. There was a werewolf one, where they drained all the water from the waterfall cannon ride, and they filled it with smoke. They had random people dressed like werewolves, and you couldnt see even an inch ahead of you from the smoke/fog. I walked right into wanna the guys, and was scared crapless. Haha, thats my story and im sticking to it.

If anyone wants, some of us here in C-bus could carpool. But I do plan on coming back to C-bus the same night. Unless I stay somewhere free, and dont have to work the next day :-p

Oh and we must keep an eye on Cedar Points website, they posted online coupons 2 years ago, offering I think $10-15 off door price.

Don't forget to book your rooms ahead!

Does someone have AAA that could pick up some extra tix for cheaper than the park rates? If so, could someone get me a pair and I'll pay you back?

Last year we went to a supermarket in Sandusky, 5 minutes from the park, and bought tickets at a huge discount. Gebby and DropDatScort live right there, so they can tell you where to pick those up.

You don't need to be a member of AAA to buy the dicount tickets from them. Just find you local office, walk in, and buy them. You may want to call ahead and make sure that office still has some in stock.

I dont think so....sadly. Again, we will keep an eye out for online discounts. They usually have like $15 off printable coupons.

Excelcier

I was about to book my room online when I noticed that if you have AAA, the room rate may be lower. Does someone has a AAA number we could use to book with to see if we can get a lower rate online?

evilkowz

EternalOne

I'll make my reservations shortly... :D

I also will be able to get tickets at the gate for $30 each with my Military ID, just did it about a month ago when we went. But, I won't be able to get EVERYONE in with the discount, so pick em up early if you can, but I can get the stragglers the discount. ;)
