Well just to update you guys i recieved my 3L from Blackcoog:bowdown: , today i got all the parts swapped over and my tranny installed....i knew that the mtx guys had to grind down the bushing on the rear of the motor to accept the mtx parts...but i didnt know that i had to grind that down since i had an atx...:banghead: i noticed that since my Torque converter didnt lay against the flywheel

everything i going good so far....and i wanna keep it that way lol

I noticed that when i was installingl my wiring harness on the motor, that the wiring that goes onto my alternator is messed up....that black plug is missing the metal clip that holds it in place and the other small plug that goes onto the alt. is missing its locking tab.....Does anybody have and ideas on how to get those to stay in..if i can find my metal lock clip ill be fine for the black plug but for the little plug i dont know how i can get it to stay?????and i dont think i can get a ziptie on it

any info would be greatly apperciated.....btw im going with a straight 3L swap with 3L intake, weapon r headers and y pipe, and for now a short ram intake..and when i can save up a little more im gonna get a xcal with a good dyno tune..so im hoping to throw down some descent numbers

Im hoping i can have it at least running by sunday night....but who knows:crazy: ...WISH ME LUCK

Erik

Good luck, nice to have more 3L in PA and an ATX none-the-less. Mine will be done by the end of July.

Not sure where Dayton is, but McNews in Dillsburg seems pretty capable. Yoslv442 his car there, and I believe Mond is going there as well.

That's where I'll go too!

Maybe you could buy that one side of the harness from ford? Or just figure out a way to make them stay.

Yeah the guys at McNews are great. Have a nice little shop and have pretty good prices. I want the Xcal they will fully dyno tune my car with the Xcal for $500 no matter how long it takes. :)
